  7. updated to v9.23 build 8808 [released 08.14.07]
  8. i downloaded the win2k and the xpsp2 releases, did an md5 check on them and they came out different so i used separate downloads for both OSes.
  9. yeah, lets wait and see till patch tuesday. nine patches due. they don't even update their downloads site. i check every couple of days sorting by date what they've released recently and the latest stuff it shows is from 8/3 whereas this came out 8/9
  10. so what do we do about it ? keep it in there ? r u gonna come up with a workaround for this ? it's uncertain even which version of the file to keep. God only knows the internal working of microsoft's files (i doubt even they themselves do anymore) but this did come out later... maybe they'll come up with an even later version of the hotfix this patch tuesday or maybe just release an IE7 compatible hotfix. d@mn them its good for win2k. i checked and all the files here are newer than any prior hotfixes
  11. i checked and it is a type 1 hotfix but the file naming is weird. typical MS screwup. also at least two (to my knowledge) prior IE7 hotfixes come with bigger versions of jscript.dll than the one included in this hotfix which is v5.7.0.16535 IE7-WindowsXP-KB933873-x86-ENU.exe and IE7-WindowsXP-KB933812-x86-ENU.exe both with v5.7.0.20550
  12. it would be nice if we had a static list of which hotfixes are recommended to be placed in HF\BASIC or HF\NOREG. so far there's only one each for win2k and xpsp2 going from the first post
  13. we're always there for ya if ya want it beta tested

  21. zedox any luck with hfslip ?
  22. it would be great if you could! what i did was, i renamed the darkside installer to what the xpize 4.6 final installer is called (so it would get integrated just like xpize does) but that didnt work. i also used the installer option to create a xpized darkside CD on the hfslipped SOURCESS folder but that didn't work either which left me wondering what the problem is and where thanks for looking into it
