any free or cheap software that removes passwords from harddrives? Am talking about the hard drive password you set in the bios. I put a password on there but i cant seem to remember the password now. I searched google and most places say that i am screwed but i found a software that says they can erase the password but its expensive. I dont care if i lose everything since i just did a clean install of win 7 but i need to be able to use the hard drive. Any help would be appreciated. thank you

hey guys i just installed a new 500 gb internal sata hd. I formated it with ntfs and it works but it shows up as a removable device. anyone know why? it shows up next to my ipod and when i check it in disk management it also says its removable.

I would like to the yellow default folder icon to something else. Does anyone know how to do that? I would like to change the default for all of them not just one with the desktop.ini all of them.

that only happens when you have reg or sp1 version of the boot logo so make sure you have sp2 compatible boot screens and the error messege should go away.

Hi i recently downloaded a logon screen which ended with the etc of logonxp which i know that i can open and put it with style xp. Any way to extract the logonui.exe or soemthing so i can use it without style xp? Thank u for your help

You need to do it with registry tweaks use this tweak to force to hit ctrl/del to logon [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon] "DisableCAD"=dword:00000000 the other one am am not sure about someone here will post it

how do i change the my documents icon on a unatteneded install? I know how to change my computer network and recycle thru hive files but my documents aint there and i didnt find anything on the board. Oh yeah and any of you know where to get a couple of hot my computer network and my documents icons

any way of intergrating the product key without the winnt.sif. I dont want it to ask me for the productkey but i need the recovery console or is there a way to put the recovery console with the unattended install?
