  1. That would be amazing... So that's a "no"...
  2. It was Pyron who helped you out...
  3. Please check this guide: http://unattended.msfn.org/xp/applications/installshield.htm
  4. Impossible. Windows checks for drivers in an order you can't change. Probably, IF it's really REQUIRED WDM drivers get installed first, Windows will first look for these drivers. But if they first look for the regular drivers, you can't do anything about it...
  5. I'll do my best, however I can't say that by now... I don't know how it can be installed, so I don't know what options I have. About switching from Windows Zero configuration to ASUS' utility: I think you'd have to disable Windows' Zero configuration then... Because I've had a D-Link Wi-Fi adapter and its software wouldn't work under Windows XP and Zero Configuration enabled.
  6. Why don't you use sentenv??? setenv -m SETTINGS C:\__SETTINGS__ setenv -m SETTINGS D:\__SETTINGS__ setenv -m SETTINGS E:\__SETTINGS__ setenv -m SETTINGS F:\__SETTINGS__ alot easier, not? Well, if you don't think it's easier, at least you know about it by now... (Why can't I attach a file??? :s)
  7. No... But there are beta's of DriverPack Sound and MassStorage... (last one is the one of Ryan VM)
  8. Well, I'm working on DriverPack MassStorage (RyanVM's pack) today. It's almost finished, and I think I'll be able to release it today. (90% finished or so) When that's finished I can continue working on DriverPack Sound. Also that one is at about 80-90%. I hope this gives you some idea...
  9. LOL you're right, first entry... I guess I'm becoming more stupid every day ... or I entered a too complicated search...
  10. Been searching on it, it has to be a (very old) NIC? Do you have the drivers for it? (can't find it on the net)
  11. I guess you can safely delete the above folders, yes.
  12. No, it only installs the needed drivers. (Else DriverPacks would be out of the question Even Windows' Drivers.cab would be impossible then!)
  13. You're talking about the thread "Installing Intel INF updates", aren't you? Well, that's an exception. For any other chipset drivers, just add their folders to $OEM$\$1\Drivers as described in the guide. ( http://unattended.msfn.org/xp/drivers.htm )
  14. 2. Oh my apologies... I didn't know of that folder (at least, didn't remember) With the ATI Catalyst 4.8 WHQL drivers it's called B_17154 1. I didn't realize you were talking about that folder. That shouldn't be a problem, you don't have to expand them. Just point in your OemPnPDriversPath to Drivers\ATI_or_whatever_you_call_it\2KXP_INF and the drivers will get installed. Note: ONLY the DRIVERS will get installed, look/search in the Device Drivers forum for more info. (In short: you have to use setup.exe -s -f1 for CPanel and Drivers, which is a silent installation of installshield setup) EDIT: I don't know if you've already read it, but here's the guide: http://unattended.msfn.org/xp/drivers.htm
  15. Sounds really complicated IMHO.... It can be done easier, by combining Kaspin's method (he wasn't the first one I think, search this forum) with IF EXIST statements.
  16. Errr???? The first setup.exe are the drivers, the second one is the Control Panel (including SmartGart, correct?)...
  17. @Taemun: So he IS using setup.exe
  18. Err.... Did you search? Check http://www.bootdisk.com. If it isn't there, it probably doesn't exist yet.
  19. We should make/have such a flash movie too! :
  20. I think Kaspin has already found a method to do this: http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showto...ndpost&p=171992 P.S.: I'm working on it too, if it will work, I'll make a small guide.
  21. Sorry for late reply, I guess I overlooked this topic... 1. Then I don't think you're using ATI's newest drivers, but rather Windows XP's built-in drivers. As far as I know there aren't compressed files in ATI's drivers... 2. What the hell are you talking about??? Please take a look at this post http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showto...ndpost&p=171992
  22. Please follow this guide: http://unattended.msfn.org and especially this page http://unattended.msfn.org/xp/drivers.htm Too late now to search & explain what's wrong, got to go too my bed (23:41 here) Good night
  23. How many days after ordering?
  24. Maybe I should open a poll ... ?
  25. I've noticed this too. But because they are different downloads, I tought the drivers differ a bit... Which is true if you check the content of those drivers!
