  1. I think it has to be a CAPITAL S. That would be: X:\path\WinRAR.exe /S I believe that mattered in this case? Don't shoot me if I'm wrong!
  2. Check this topic.
  3. Won't make any difference. (The files are just overwritten after extraction and no files have been updated, only some additions.) Please check the I386 dir for the aftx2k.sys file (NOT afasttx2k.sys, this has changed with the fix). If it is there, please attach your txtsetup.sif file.
  4. And you ARE using the new DriverPack MassStorage? (V5.04.2)
  5. I smell a double post... Please don't do that again. Check this topic for my reply. Topic moved to Device Drivers forum. Topic closed.
  6. In fact your 'solution' is a zero-operation. In theory you have changed NOTHING. The entries can be ANYTHING, as long as they are the same (and as long they don't exceed the 8 character limit). I'll explain it to you: the example below will also work. SourceDisksFiles fasttx2k.sys = 100,,,,,,4_,4,1,,,1,4 HardwareIdsDatabase PCI\VEN_105A&DEV_6629= "f_ck_you" PCI\VEN_105A&DEV_3371= "f_ck_you" PCI\VEN_105A&DEV_3319= "f_ck_you" PCI\VEN_105A&DEV_3376= "f_ck_you" PCI\VEN_105A&DEV_3373= "f_ck_you" SCSI.Load f_ck_you = fasttx2k.sys,4 SCSI f_ck_you= "Promise FastTrak TX4000 ™ Controller" My point is: this CAN'T be the only change you've made: you MUST also have changed the included files. But I'm glad it's working for you now EDIT: don't take the f_ck_you personal, it was just to overstate my point that you could change that to *anything*
  7. Why don't you continue to the included Installation Instructions?. Click the '[How-to]' link in the readme.htm file.
  8. @DigeratiPrime: OF COURSE! No offense was meant And I was *only* talking about this part But again: I truly don't understand why everyone keeps getting two entries :s They should overwrite each other... @melkhatt: I'l PM you later for that one. Or, if I find the time, I'll write a short how-to at once, I'll have to do that anyway.
  9. You could create a script that displays all DRIVER NAMES, that wouldn't be too hard. (like nvatabus.sys, atapi.sys, nvapu.sys, etc.) But if you would like to list the NAMES OF THE HARDWARE, that would be alot more difficult. May I ask WHY exactly you would like to do this? I don't see any possible point/use...
  10. It's no longer included since V5.0?, because of the same problem you're having: BSOD's. Also, it's not required, so I'd just leave it out...
  11. I know what the problem is: afasttx2k.sys is a 9.3 name, while everything at TEXTMODE setup! I'll attach the fixed version of Methods_V50413.7z to this post after I fixed it. EDIT: @DigeratiPrime: no, that's NOT a solution. In fact that's even completely wrong... @erik_demon: how can that double entry possibly be there??? nircmd.exe automatically overwrites older settings, if they exist :s Thanks for that KtD bugreport FIX fixed: -broken KtD function -afasttx2k.sys error (-the viaidexp.sys error was already fixed) COPY THE ATTACHED FILE INTO YOUR 'FILES' DIRECTORY AND CLICK YES WHEN ASKED TO OVERWRITE. DOWNLOAD FIX
  12. Did you guys download the newest DP MassStorage? Forgot to mention that, but that's A REQUIREMENT!
  13. DigeratiPrime did NOT have this problem. Are you using M1 or M2? EDIT: it must have been M1. Found the error ONE character was missing... Please download the updated one manually, extract it and overwrite your Methods_V50413.7z with the updated one.
  14. OK, read everything. Basically it's about how to update to newer versions that aren't included in MP10Setup.exe yet. And about adding MP3 ripping support. So basically I won't get much further with this... except for that one link to this topic. I won't replace V1.1 very fast, I WILL however start with some beta versions. More replies to follow tomorrow... I'm very tired...
  15. Already updated the current one. Fixed the viaidexp.sys missing in [sourceDisksFiles] section of txtsetup.sif error. Please download the updated one manually, extract it and overwrite your Methods_V50413.7z with the updated one. EDIT: @colinbate: do you have spaces in your path? Please check the I386 folder for that file! Here it works fine...
  16. Lots of stuff to read... *MUST ABSORB INFORMATION* I'll try to implement everything what's written/asked here (but don't have a clue yet what it's all about, however it looks... advanced/promising)
  17. What do you understand under 'Peripheral' DriverPack? All kinds of USB stuff (camera's, gadgets, etc.) or the not yet supported hardware like videocapturingcards?
  18. I'll start the project DriverPack Modem then. But, as I said before, it will PURELY consist of the drivers everyone submits. I will *NOT* search for drivers. That would be waaaaay too much work. And that's even a strong understatement... Thanks gilesw P.S.: requests for separate DP Modem & DP Monitor forums have been sent.
  19. That's about the exact same thing I did - only with an even newer driver than yours. Please download the new DPs BASE and the new DP MassStorage and let me know if they work for you! If they don't, I can include the driver that ASUS has put online for your mobo.
  20. @Vid0: I've put an updated version of DriverPack WLAN V5.04.4 online, WITHOUT the unnecessary .pdb files. Saved again some space. Thanks (Nope, not a new version, the difference between those is almost nihil so...)
  21. DriverPack MassStorage V5.04.2 Download
  22. DriverPack LAN V5.04.4 Download
  23. BTS DriverPacks BASE V5.04.13 Download '13' isn't always bad... Changelog: V5.04.13 (27 Apr 05) -New: [DPB] initial support for method 3: a hybrid method with the file edits of M1 and the modularity of M2. -Changed: [DPB] KtD (Keep the Drivers), M2, previous default folder. -Changed: [DPB] I've made it alot easier to change the default folders. Check the source of the batch files and you'll see. -Improved: [DPB] the way the cleanup, KtD and the CPLs batch file are handled: all unified INSIDE the CPLs batch file: this one detects the 2 other possible features. -Fixed: [DPB] KtD, M2. -Fixed: [DPB] KtD was always set...
