Hi, everyone, am planning on building a Power PC for a fren but he asked me wats the best parts for him to buy? 1. so first of all am thinking that he should hav RAID .... but which raid settings is the best for performance & which SATA HDD should we get? 2. then am thinking he should hav at least 1-2GB of memory .... but what brand would u recommend plus Tight Timings vs High Clock Frequencies? 3. then here comes the motherboard ... am thinking Asus, Gigabyte, DFI or Foxconn? ( supportin DDR2 667 up to 800 or better yet a DDR3 ) 4. Yes, here comes the juice "CPU" and are these Sever boards & cpu compatible with all these games? .... should i use Dual-Core Intel® Xeon Woodcrest OR Intel Conroe 2.67 up OR Opteron with L3 cache OR AM2 5. Yeh then he said he wanted a All in one Card to watch CATV and play Games ... so wats a Good All-in-one Capture & Gaming Card? 6. then a LCD monitor 19"-20" under $380 ... reccomend one 7. woa... the the Power Supply 500Watt up -$150 max ..... so wat PSU would u recommend 8. Well about the DVD burner i would go for a Plexter ... wat do u think?

Need to setup my Custom Unattended Windows DVD with pre-installed progs & also during or after setup copy installation files ( Entire DVD ) on drive C: or D: so for future purpose i can run an install from HDD with all or selected apps installed... can anyone help? basically its similar to the way Toshiba laptops restore their OS and Apps

Thanks all u guys however this HDD seems to still click after freezing after 24hr but i was able to detect the drive ( darn the wierdest thing is that wen i took it out of my PC i saw like 1000s of small redish ANTS marching out )

during virus scan i heard a loud Clicking sound from my 250GB HDD but now wen i try to boot the machine won't show my HDD at boot screen..... i need to know how i can go about backing up my data from this hard drive Thanks for your expertise

No.... wat am saying is that IE 7 has corrupted my browsing capability and i need to remove it and all its registry modifications

IE 7 has become very annoying to me now, caz after i un-install i still cannot browse from Mozilla so i had to re-install IE7 again, however i am now having downloading probs, my downloads will start and then it will fail like the first 2-3% becaz its not send or reiceving any bytes, CAN anyone tell me how to change the regsitry setting that IE7 has made and how to completely remove IE 7 and ALL its settings. another thing is that i've also noticed that i can only download things using flashget, so u know like megaupload, rapishare and others i cannot download regular from these sites

hi every1, am i need (help) of a simple script or a program of any language. ok, here's how it should work am gonna connect my telephone headset line to the modem on my PC then whenever i dial a number, wherever the insertion point is ( eg. field box ) the same number will be automatically typed. so if i type 9795633215 from my land line telephone, then in the text field the same numbers will appear / duplicated..... i hope som1 can help with this 1

my 160 gig HDD filled with Data is unreadable in Win XP also it is recognised as a Unallocated Dynamic Disk, how can i get my data back or let this drive be readable again?

Am an AMD fan however Intel had made a new processor CONROE 2.66GHz that is currently faster than the fastest Athlon 64 FX-60, its even faster than their upcoming AM2 processor, also uses less watt = less heat and has Virtualisation ( yes AMD new CPU gonna hav Virtualization too ) but the best part is that Conroe will be much cheaper than the FX 60.... wow even though the new Intel chip is'nt out yet (next 2mths) and this is like "Advert NEWS" right? but it would be very nice if this all worked out to be true B) so wat do u think guys? som pics here here benchmarks here here or here's another or even this one here currently sold here but am not sure if this 1 is correct

whats the best software to either repair, recover, fix or isolate BAD SECTORS on a Hard Drive?

SATA 3.0Gb/s, 7200 RPM, 16MB : Samsong, Western Digital, Maxtor, Seagate, Fujitsu, Hitachi ? i want to make a good buy, however, i've heard stories about some of these drives and others i've never knew were on the market ....... guys i need your help / expertise advice
