  1. I do not know if this is a Sysprep Question or not but after Syspreping a PC, my Wireless Network does not keep either it's WEP or WPA2 Security Key is this dependent in the GUID in the registry for this device?
  2. I have a Sysprep question. I am creating a new XP SP2 Image for a Dell Latitude D510, the *Problem* I am running into is two things, the first is that System Restore is automatically re-enabling itself after Sysprep(how do I disable this?) and second is that the *Links* under favorites is also recreating itself after Sysprep, however before the Sysprep Process I did go under the registry key which is shown below to delete the Links information manually, Thank You in advance. [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Toolbar] "LinksFolderName"=""
  3. I have been trying to get a solution for these errors for sometime and either though this site or others throughout the net I have not come to a solution as of yet?, has ANYONE found anything that deals with these issues?, is it something though NLite I am doing that is causing these errors to appear(I.E. Removing a component that is not recommenced, ect...), I did also disable the WFP from a utility I found on the net and it does also still give me a WFP error when installing certain programs, Sysprep the image, ect...Thank You. 4. Is it possible to add the computer description(under Network Identificiation) during the Sysprep Process?
  5. I have a Windows 2000 Image I created and when actually going though the sysprep process, after it initially reboots it is asking for the following files(listed below) and is looking under the C:\Sysprep\i386 folder?, I have redirected the registry to go to C:\Winnt\options\i386 for where I copied the contents of the i386 folder?, any info why this is happening?, Thank You. 6. I am creating a Windows 2000/XP Image for both a Dell GX280 and GX520, I am trying to incorporate the USB drivers for both the default keyboard and mouse and have it be recognized on EACH of the USB slots on the machine, the problem I was having in the past is when I created a image and then have it Sysprepped, when the sysprep process was over and if any the keyboard and mouse was plugged into a USB Slot that did not have the peripherals initially connected into those exact USB Slots then the system would not recognized the devices initially and a hard reboot would be necessary at the login screen(occasionally several reboots) until the devices were recognized, I know a manual way of doing this is just to plug the peripherals into each USB slot on the machine and have it be recogonized before the sysprep process began but I would like to automate this process, any help would be very appreciated, Thank You.
  7. I created a Base Windows XP SP1 Image using NLite(Newest Version) for both the Dell GX280 and Dell GX520 images which work fine for the most part but when installing apps(not all, but in this case Media Player 10) I get the following Error Message - *Windows File Protection Error, Files That are Required For Windows To Run Properly Have Been replaced by unrecogonized Version, To Maintain System Stabality, Windows Must Restore The Original Version Of These Files, Insert Your Windows XP Professional Service Pack 1 CD Now* , The Service Pack 1 was integrated into the OS already and also the i386 Directory has been redirected(Via registry) from the CD to a specified location on the hard drive(Windows\Options\i386), any ideas in how to fix this error?, Thank You in advance. 8. The SM BUS Controller is not being deteced in Widows XP under the Device Manager, when installing the chipst Drivers which I downloaded though Dell's support site, the install process is fine but when I reboot, I get nothing but a blue screen, I tried to update the driver manually JUST for the SM BUS Controller by going to the extraction location of the chipset drivers but it does not find any files to update?, any ideas on this would be very helpful and appreciated, Thank You. 9. After completing a rather successful XP image for a Dell GX520 the only issue I can see at the moment is that the taskbar will not show any of the *Quick* Launch icons?, also when manually selecting the *Show Quick Launch* option still does not work?, Any Ideas?, Thanks in advance.
  10. At what point would you implement this?, I tried to add this to a registry merge file under RUNONCE but did not work of course?, Thanks in advance.
