  1. so has anyone figured out a way to do this yet. i'm actually interested in this too. i've got the WAIK and have succeffuly create an Autounattend.xml file but can't figure out how to include it, along with my raid drivers, onto the dvd.
  2. fyi... looks like 5536 was added to MSDN subscribers a few hours ago. i'm downloading it now.
  3. wow... i can't believe all of these people. if you hate microsoft that bad then don't use their products. it would be like me saying that i can't stand mcdonalds and then continuing to go there to eat. if you think the build of vista that you have installed runs like sh** then uninstall it and go back to whatever os you DO like. leave the testing of vista up to the people who care about reporting bugs and makeing it better.
  4. what about removing components from the install cd all together? that's actually what i'm wanting to learn about. Thanks.
  5. I'm also interested in doing this actually. Not so much because I don't want to use nLite, but because I just like knowing how to do things myself. Any information anyone has on how to do this would be greatly appreciated...
  6. Here you go guys... http://support.intel.com/support/go/iaa/downloads_r.htm Intel doesn't make it very easy to find on their site If you need any help getting these drivers integrated on an unattended install cd, let me know. It took me a while to get these drivers working like that. Marc
  7. do you think either of you could show me a little bit more of a step by step example of how to create a silent install for this. i'm wanting to do what both of you said but i've never messed around with editing an msi before. also does the code that jonscaife talked about make it install of of the map data too or once installed would you still need to have the 2nd cd in? thanks guys.
