Net user method works BUT ...
Jeroeneke replied to Jeroeneke's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
I've installed it now without deleting the Eigenaar account at the T-12 point, and it seems to be created! So I will just remove it at the T-12 point as that works great If I do that, there aren't any folders etc. left on the HD for that account so it aint no problem for me Jeroen. -

In dutch it is "Administrators", same as it is in English I do have administator rights, and the "Eigenaar" account/user isn't there anymore! Don't know if it's in "SAM", don't even know what that is I also use XP Home! At my next (test)-install, I will try to install WITHOUT the net user Eigenaar /delete and see if the account "Eigenaar" is still created, I will let it know here! -

net user Eigenaar /delete this is what I've used, so the advices above it removes the "owner"-account from the pc (Eigenaar in dutch ) I create the user account at the T-12 point, it's the first thing before all my software that runs there I also remove at that point the "Eigenaar"-account, so I think it should be created earlier -
Just a question, when do you guys start the installation of dreamweaver ? I would like to have it at the T-12 point. This is what I have as installation: <item display="DreamWeaver 8.0.1"> <execute display='Programma'> <program>#SourceDrive#\$OEM$\Apps\DreamWeaver\DreamWeaver.msi</program> <arguments>/Quiet</arguments> </execute> <execute display='DreamWeaver 8.0.1 Patch'> <program>#SourceDrive#\$OEM$\Apps\DreamWeaver\Patch.msp</program> <arguments>/Quiet</arguments> </execute> </item> This is done with XPlode, in "normal language" this is: D:\$OEM$\Apps\DreamWeaver\DreamWeaver.msi /Quiet D:\$OEM$\Apps\DreamWeaver\Patch.msp /Quiet I've tried /QN etc. but none of them worked. I'm wanting this to do at the T-12 point (cmdlines.txt) thanks in advance! jeroen. Also, in the log-files I can't find something that something wen wrong! And when installing, I can see it's bussy because it takes some time to run it. But nothing is installed, not evan a macromedia folder or something.

Hi, I'm installing via XPlode, but I would like to have the screen NOT ontop. Therefore you need to add this line in the <display plugin> section: <XPlode4> <config> <tokens> <token username="Jeroen" password="pass" /> </tokens> <environment> <display.title>Software Installatie</display.title> <display.complete>voltooid</display.complete> <acctmgmt.adduser>Gebruiker toevoegen: #1#</acctmgmt.adduser> <acctmgmt.deluser>Gebruiker verwijderen: #1#</acctmgmt.deluser> <acctmgmt.addgroup>Groep toevoegen: #1#</acctmgmt.addgroup> <acctmgmt.delgroup>Groep verwijderen: #1#</acctmgmt.delgroup> <execute.string>Uitvoeren: #1#</execute.string> <misc.sfcos-disable>Windows File Protection uitschakelen</misc.sfcos-disable> <misc.sfcos-enable>Windows File Protection inschakelen</misc.sfcos-enable> <misc.netstart>Starten #1#</misc.netstart> <misc.netstop>Stoppen #1#</misc.netstop> </environment> <display plugin='#XPLODE#\XPlodeGFXInstall.x4d'> <show total='9' after='4' subcount='true' /> <font face='Verdana' antialias='true' small='8' large='12' /> <window width='400' height='256' position='4' background="#XPLODE#\install.png" /> <windowmode ontop='false' /> <colours> <header x='4' y='4' fore='#FFFFFF' /> <footer x='4' y='232' width='384' fore='#FFFFFF' /> <progress border='#000000' back='#FFFFFF' fore='#1172CD' /> <main x='12' y='40' width='372' fore='#FFFFFF' current='#FFFF00' description='#FFFF80' overlay='#FFFFFF60' /> </colours> </display> </config> <pre-execute> <hidewindow> <title>ConsoleWindowClass</title> </hidewindow> </pre-execute> <post-execute> <showwindow> <title>ConsoleWindowClass</title> </showwindow> </post-execute> <items> items.... </items> </XPlode4> hope anyone knows the problem ?! hopefully it's not a typo or some other stupid mistake as I've re-read it a few times!

Is it only that ??! that's like, so easy but installrite is doing it verry good! Thanks for that tool btw, it's handy for other terrible installers that just won't work unnattended
-
I've done it with installrite! Works great!! Also I have seen that if you register DivX and than create the installrite installer, you can install a registered DivX!! looks verry handy to me!
-
The DivX problem wasn't that bad for me (that it asks some stuff) but I need to create this for my school (this is a part of my end-task) and everything should be silently! So can somebody explain me what to do to register that .ax-files ? I've never heard of them, and I certainly don't know how to register, and which files to register! The only thing I need to have installed is the DivX codec from the DivX Play Bundle setup also, if I only register those .ax-files, whil I still have the tray-icon if I play a DivX movie ? (I would like to have it, as you can easily adjust the contrast and brightness and stuff ) thanks in advance! jeroen. let me know if my post isn't obvious enough, I hadn't got much time at the moment
-
I just added it attended in my setup, first time my account loads I have to install DivX it isn't that hard I tried ffdshow and I was getting some "slow" video processing, so that didn't do it for me (tried different settings) thx anyway hopefully they bring out a "silence-able" installer in one of their next versions
-
What's it with those .ax files thingy ? As the only thing I need is DivX-playback (I want the latest codec ) Or is there else a good alternative for DivX with the same (or better ?) quality ? The latest one out now is DivX Play 6.1.1 1.0.0.161 (this is what I have) thx! jeroen.
-
Oh sorry, I've must have looked over that! doesn't 6.6 support HD-burn ? (or 7.x ? which I don't like )
-
There is a program called NCAB which can do that. It recompresses nero and removes some stuff. You can also integrate a language pack if you need to! works great ;-) you should use search to find it!

VB.NET 2005, resources question
Jeroeneke replied to Jeroeneke's topic in Programming (C++, Delphi, VB/VBS, CMD/batch, etc.)
Comeon please, somebody should know ?!! thx! -
Hi, In VB.NET 2005 you have resources with your form. For example a .png file is saved there you use in your form, and it will be integrated in the form. You can access that file by running this code: My.Resources.TestFile.Save("C:\TestFile.png") In this case, TestFile is the one in the resources folder (which will be integrated in the .exe), and TestFile.png is the one that will be saved under the "C:\" directory. Now my question is, is it possible to do the same with a .zip file ? This is what i thought that should work: My.Resources.TestFile.Save("C:\TestFile.ZIP") With TestFile as the .zip in the resources folder, and TestFile.ZIP should be saved under the "C:\" directory. But you can't use the ".Save" property for .zip ,etc. files! Anyone knows a workaround or something with this? I want to have a .zip file integrated in my form, which I can than copy out of the .exe to another folder which is given up between the "(...)" thx in advance!

Thank you so much gunsmokingman for those project files! At school I have to program in VS.NET 2003 (for 2years now) but we don't see any useful things (in my eys)! but your program is a good study object for me! Good to learn some things! thanks man! Will watch your codes! (Just downloaded VB.NET from the microsoft site, it seems to be free now ) EDIT: I just have a question, are you good in programming in VB.NET ? I'm searching for something for some months now, but I couldn't find, but I'm quite sure it should work! So maybe you could help me ? lol, this is getting quite offtopic now EDIT2: oh man this is so great, I've found what I've searched for, just be studying your code for some minutes! Thx man!

Click on the IMAGE button which you see in the font bar if you post a message. Then it promps you to put in an URL. Give up your URL there and it should work
-
In that case it may be working! for a screenshot, just attach an image to the message
-
Thx! Can you please send me the project files of that VB.NET project (sourcecode etc.) I would like to have a look on it as it looks interesting! thx! jeroen. Will test both later on if I find some time
-
BTW, have you read the unattended guide ? http://unattended.msfn.org/ Everything's very good explained there, and in case you have some problems you can ask us at the forums!
-
I think it will be quite hard to put all those things to only 1 cd! a DVD or CD-set would fit better!
-
What's it with that unattend.udb file ? Yes, I know all the Computernames and ip-adresses ahead! It's actually used in my school, and the ip-adresses ar sorted by class like this: 10.0.<class>.<pcnumber> (for example: 10.0.206.11 (this means pc 11 in room 206) The computernames are quite comon i thought (I should watch at school for it) so can you please explain me bit more? thx! jeroen.
