  2. It's easy. you just need a *.ASX index file. you can get more infomation about asx file in Windows Media Player SDK Documents.

  4. Pay attention, I think My answer is right. 1. You cannt run Media Center by just copy ehome files from MCE2005 to XP pro,,Media Center neet so much so much registry keys and so much files registered to run. 2. you can follow my way in my * Windows XP/2003 Ultimate Edition * topic to turn your XP/2003 to MCE2005 and/or TPC2005,,all functions in your system would not be lost. 3. you can also perform a upgrade installation as flupke had said.
  5. you can use xbox360 remote controller on MCE2005 PC, just need a Infrared Receiver for MCE2005,,not built in IrDA port
  6. All Windows do not contain MPEG-2 Decoder ,you must install a software decoder ,sucj as WinDVD, Power DVD,NVIDIA PureVideo Decoder, ATi DVD Decoder, ect.... for NV Graphic card ,NVIDIA PureVideo Decoder is best. you can download it here: http://www.nvidia.com/object/dvd_decoder_1.02-185-trial.html PLEASE DO NOT INCLUDE ANY SERIAL NUMBERS OR KEYS IN YOUR POSTS.
  7. Dancer can detect sound succesful just when you are playing music.. If there is no sound, detect will fail.

  9. It's no legal way to use Tablet functions in MCE except Windows Vista Ultimate Edition,,because there is no Windows XP Ultimate Edition released by Microsoft.
  10. hahaha. I will tell you that I have Install Windows Server 2003 Ultimate Edition,in a IBM X41Tablet PC Win2003/Tablet/MCE,no function is lost... Tablet Button,Tablet Pen and Media Center Remote Control work perfectly in this OS. There are some screenshots in this chinese forum topic: http://www.mythsea.com/viewthread.php?tid=45 of course you can install Windows XP with TPC and MCE function..
  11. Media Center can auto fit desktop resolution, but sometimes can't.. you can see media center version by click: settings->general->about->software version.
  12. these numbers mean source file's location,size,destination location,etc...
  13. I think most people want to play Flash movies in Media Center. though Flash isn't Video ,it can be listed in "My Videos"after created this registry Key: Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.swf] "PerceivedType"="video" When we play it in "My Videos",we can hear sound from the flash and see a Blacked Media Center Window. Flash can be played in Media Center hosted HTML applications with no problem,so I believe it also can be played with no problem in "My Videos". but How to make changes to get it??
  14. Let me tell you. just like this: Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.mov] "PerceivedType"="video" [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.RM] "PerceivedType"="video" [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.RMVB] "PerceivedType"="video" any file extensions with ""PerceivedType"="video"" registry value can be viewed in "My Videos"..
  15. It's very easy to update MCE2004 to MCE2005. you just need "mectroc.inf" install info file for MCE2005 and "Mediactr.CAB" for MCE2005 then run this : rundll32 syssetup,SetupInfObjectInstallAction Freestyle 128 medctroc.inf Media Center 2005 will be installed in your system.... if you want to install "Windows Digital Media Enhancement" and "Sonic CD and DVD Burning",you also neet inf files and CAB....
  16. YES! It's possible to Run MCE2005 in XP/2003 x64 versions, I have Installed It in my brother's AMD64 Based Windows XP x64. MCE do not require any PID ,but only require the system is "MediaCenter Installed" so the way is same as my "Windows XP/2003 Ultimate Edition"...I will tell you how to install it about X'MAS,
