Here's one for your guys. when I was attempting a firmware upgrade. For some reason the upgrade never seemed to complete, and all I was left with was the unit in this "flashing red" condition. When the unit is powered on, it goes through it's bootstrap sequence, then the "STATUS" light blinks a steady red. No response from outside queries at all is there a way to reset the router or could i just reflash it. has this happen to any one else

The hacked file only allows you to disable it via the registry. I still leave it enabled by default, but at least you can disable it if you want.So disable sfc need's to be unchecked when using nlite -

First off, why are you adding the txtsetup.sif entries to dosnet.inf??? Second, yes, the dosnet.inf entries are fine there, but REMOVE THE TXTSETUP.SIF ENTRIES. im not i just wanted to know if the placement for the files go the same -

do you add them here at the top or at the bottom and do you do the same with txtsetup.sif [Files] RVMUpPck.inf = 1,,,,,,,20,0,0 RVMUpPck.cab = 100,,,,,,_x,,3,3 d1,RVMUpPck.inf <---- d1,RVMUpPck.cab <---- d1,nlite.inf d9,1394.in_ d9,845.in_ d9,bcm4sbxp.in_ d9,cm821f.in_ d9,net1394.in_ d9,nv4_disp.in_ d9,smwdmch4.in_ d9,845.inf d9,1394.inf d9,bcm4sbxp.inf d9,nv4_disp.inf d9,smwdmch4.inf d9,cm821f.inf d9,net1394.inf d1,ntdll.dll,system32\ntdll.dll d1,RVMUpPck.inf <---- d1,RVMUpPck.cab <---- -

RyanVM Windows XP SP2 Update Pack
Famer replied to RyanVM's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
Absolutely. Just download the full pack and extract it to a directory other than i386. You can expand the INF file to see which files belong to those components and delete them. Might I ask why you don't want those files specifically? CalcPlus has the same look and functionality as the original calc.exe, but it has some improved functions. RDC is the same as before, but with an option to automatically reconnect if disconnected. The hacked SFC_OS by default still leaves WFP on. You'd still have to edit the registry if you want WFP turned off. The hacked uxtheme won't impact you at all until you want to use unsigned themes. If you stick to signed themes, there's no difference at all. i have no use for rdc or the calc or themes plus i remove all that with nlite -
