  1. Try this first before we can determine what is the exact cause, :- 1. Go to START-RUN 2. Key in " msconfig " without the quotes. 3. go to STARTUP tab, then UNCHECK all the tick from the box. 4. restart the pc, see if its still freezes upon booting. I dont think its a RAM problem, as if its a RAM problem then you sure will hear beeping sound before your computer boots up.
  2. How to: Booting to a CD and renaming or deleting the virtual drivers in system32 IIRC (been a few years and I'm too lazy to Google right now). Exactly right...
  3. I'm sorry to say your link for megaupload its deleted or cannot be found, try to upload to rapidshare or filecrunch.com Mods, pls delete my double post, sorry... Links are working fine, thank you!
  4. Been using a software called "Backup4all". Its straight forward backup with compression or without it. Although its a shareware, well, you could try it for 30 days, if satisfy, you could buy, Its worth! Here is the link for the website: http://www.backup4all.com/
  5. Well, i use Raxco Perfect Disk 8 to defragment, unlike others, it has its own mechanism to operate silently without any bugs. So far, happy using it and its stable.
  6. Well, deep freeze is the best, my friends internetcafe is using it, found it very stable and hard to penetrate even though i know how to do it. Its better then Norton GoBack!.. For, antivirus, my penny goes to these 3: 1. Kaspersky (the ultimate in detecting) 2. Nod32 (the ultimate also but once any trojan virus infect the system files of xp, it cannot remove!) 3. Avast (the third best, overall its also the same like Nod32, But on user GUI its a bit hard to configure and scan)
  7. You can get all freeware softwares here: http://www.freewarefiles.com/
  8. Using Safari for almost 3 weeks, found very stable, my rapidshare download clocks amazing speeds even though using free account. Punching URL on browsers giving me the utmost response time compare to IE7 or Firefox. The only problem is a little bugs about clicking the tabs on the webpage but its still a little bug that can be fixed. Overall, i prefer changing to safari then using Firefox or IE. Everything is smooth in Safari for Windows XP!!! ps: flash image, animation, pictures pops up faster i mean very fast then other browsers.
