  1. I just went through this with my friend. He bought half-life 2 from a buddy of mine who works for a company that gets discounts on valve products. He choose to buy it for 10 bucks. At the time, I stressed to him that it would not include any of the other "mods" that it would include if he payed full price for it over the net. In any case, my point is that it was documented that you would have access to DAY OF DEFEATE SOURCE when it came out over steam, and not so with the retail product. I am sorry to say my friend, you didn't do your homework. As for my firend, he now has to dish out an extra 30 bucks for DOD Source. I on the other hand, spent 99 dollars on half-life 2 over steam last year, and have enjoyed every mod released for it since. Cheers. Qz
  2. Sweet, I'm buying it tomorrow (Specified). I'll post screenies too when I get a chance to play for a while. Qz
  3. Roger that... thank you very much. So, if I started a channel on EFnet or ANY other network on IRC, would anyone be interested? Just wondering if I should bother. Thanks, later. Qz
  4. Do we have an IRC server to idle on? I wish I could speak real time with some of our community members. Please let me know. Qz
  5. /bump I agree. cdimage.exe has worked wonders for me. Qz
  6. * BUMP * I agree here. I have seem many myself. Although I am not as aggrovated as our friend here is... i do believe it should be noted somewhere at the top. Qz
  7. This is great stuff. Thanks so much for the time and effort DigitalZA! Love your work man. Qz
  8. Yeah, if you don't have a valid 4 character boot folder, you get the ndldr.exe not found error. Qz
  9. Oh, and just FYI... I have all versions, meaning XP PRO OEM, XP PRO RETAIL, XP PRO RETAIL, XP PRO CORPORATE and XP PRO Upgrade. That is only for XP pro. I also have all HOME versions and most 2000 and 2003 versions too. It sure does get complicated after a bit. Qz
  10. I am currently in the middle of doing everything you jsut metioned. (Except for 95). I am having tons of problems with "shared" files. You may need to simply get your feet wet and dive in. It will be a learning process so I'd recommend you do ONE os at a time, and then only do another after you have FULLLY tested the OS. Not just that it boots from it. Later. Qz
  11. ... has anyone successfully multi-booted 2003 server and Novell Server 5.x or 6.x? I am looking to add Novell to my All-in-One DVD. Thanks in advance. Qz
  12. Worked like a charm. Thank you so very much. Not sure where I went wrong on the tutorial, because I was sure I did everything you just mentioned. I simplified and took out all OSes other than Longhorn, and it worked... now I am going to try and add the other oses... I'm sure I'll get it done from here. Much obliged. Qz
  13. Yeah, to be honest, I was looking for a place that housed more than what is at bootdisk.com. I am not interested in anything I do not have licensed and registered though. So, basically... I was trying to avoid making my own. Since I have about 20 or so pieces of software I want to add. I'm almost done making all of 'em though... so no biggie, thanks anyway. Qz
  14. Thanks for the reply. I will tinker with it and get back to you. Qz
  15. I've been playing with this myself. I'll let you gusy know if I have any luck. Talk to you later. Qz
  16. I am having problems multi-booting vista. I can't seem to multi-boot anything above built 4051. I guess they might have switched to another form of booting the CD because the tutorial for 4051 doesn't seem to match anymore (flyakite's tutorial.) I have posted something similar in the MULTI-BOOT section, but can't seem to even get many reviews, much less replies. I was just hoping someone here might know and maybe just don't go to the multi-boot forum. Anywho, thanks a lot guys. Admins, if this is not proper, please don't move, just delete the thread... thank you. Qz
  17. Thank you much. I was aware of that one, and only that one. I guess it's limited but functional. I'll make my own should I require more in the future I guess... thanks. Qz
  18. Is there any sites out there that have a collection of floppy image files ( *.ima files ) where I can download some utilities for my AIO-DVD. I would like to avoid making my own to save time. Thanks. Qz
  19. Hi guys, just wondreing if anyone had a tutorial for Multi-Booting longhorn. I have build 5112, not 4051 like in flyakite's tutorial. So, if anyone knows how to do it or has a URL, I'd really appreshiate it. Much obliged... Qz
  20. Sounds pheasable but I sure don't know enough to test on my own. I'm willing to help if anyone has any suggestions though. Qz
  21. As was likely, I missed a step. Didn't add a few files to the root directory at the end of the tutorial. Sorry guys... later. Qz
  22. I can't seem to get my first OS to boot. (ISO of a Windows XP Pro OEM CD.) I followed the tutorial and made my own boot sector file for this CD. I made my menu and can load the boot sector file, but once inside the setup (right after it asks to press F6 for scsi / sata drivers and f2 for ... ) it asks for the XP CD in drive A:. Can anyone shed any light on the subjetct? What am I doing wrong. Please advise. I gather it is working from the fact that it is loading the proper OS (which I put in my own directory Setup\xp\professional\oem.) I just don't know why windows would ask for the CD in drive A: and why it isn't loading the setup files to begin the install. Thanks in advance... Qz
  23. Nevermind, I got it. Thanks. Qz
  24. Thanks for the link, I am now following the tutorial and making my first CD. I see nothing on there that says how to "optimise the ISO file so that multiple windows version will fit." Please advise. Thanks. Qz
  25. Hi all. I have XiSOs release of the 11in1 win xp SP2 iso. I was looking at it for examples on how to create my own Multi-Boot DVD. I really like what they did with it, but I notice dsomething odd. The filesystem seems to have more files than the original *.iso file. What I mean is, there are 11 copies of windows XP PLUS about 11 utility CDs ( Like Partition Magic, Ghost and others ). When I grab my DVD and copy it's contents over to my HD, it's literrally over 6Gigs. The ISO I have and use to burn the file (the 11in1) is only 1g flat. How can that be? I started to wonder if there was a way to give 1 set of files (like the i386 files) redundant path names. Anotherwords, can it be that there is only one set of i386 files and that the file system is simply giving it multiple directories? It is NOT being done through the same directory though, because there are different folders for all the different OS installs. Someone please shed some light on this for me. It is confusing the hell out of me. Thanks in advance. Qz
