type winver, don't use the "? -> Info" menu to display the Version.

as I said, don't do it or you will destroy your Vista!

DON'T TRY TO DO THIS UNDER VISTA! Vista saves the files into the WinSxS folder, but you can't see what files are save.

sure. Copy all files from both CDs into a folder and create a new ISO with nLite and burn.

the Sp1 brings the Server 2008 Kernel to Vista with all Hotfixes and Updates which are available for Vista.
