  1. I went to do the -r -f1 C:\temp\setup.iss and was greated by a nice popup from QT stating multiple switches that are allowed as the ones listed here did not work. The below is a switch set that is completely unattended and silent. No registration is entered... But it silently installs! /S/v/qn
  2. Using NLite and the BTS Drivers and wiothout removing hardly anything, I get a 20 minute disk. No patches or apps though... Just standard XP with SP2 and the drivers and a few apps like AVG and Winrar copied to the root and installed afterwards by hand. I did do the 2000 interface for the setup and a few things like that but it is 20 minutes on any machine I put it on from Laptops to desktops.
  3. When it comes to the A+ cert, I went for it and passed both at the same time with little prep if at all. Completely self taught in PC's. As for the value of A+ versus other certs, the A+ is nothing to employers anymore. Back in the day like 10 years ago it was something. Now, all employers are looking for are MCSE. MCSE versus MCSA is light years differance. MCSA is a slimmed down version saying that yuo are a highly trained MCP but not on the engineer level. You get your MCSE and you are something. I almost did not get my break into Tech Support 3 years ago even though I had my A+ because they were like oh good.... you have an A+..... how... quaint............ Go ahead and get your A+ but don't stop. Continue to get your Net+ if you want to go for networking. Don't get the Net+ if you want to go server side.
  4. Home models are geared to use some of the time and not on all the time. They are not as robust as a workstation. Business models are designed for using at the office all the time. They generally more robust and don't have the bells and whistles so that saves some cost but it is more whith the better drives and etc. Either one will work but workstations may last longer and prove to be more reliable than el cheap o home systems.
  5. Artists don't make any money from anything. What happens is the music companies "lend" them money up front for the potential sales of the music and concerts etc. and expect the band to make a video using the "lend" money they received. Then if the record company makes more than was expected on the sales of all things band related, they then give a cut of the profits to the band. This is why now a days bands are like one hit wonders. TRhey make an album and blow all there money making fancy stuff then there is nothing to help make second album and then it bombs. Also when it comes to Radio, the major labels make what are called "Gold Disks" that have a selection of the songs that the companies want the public to listen to. When was the last time you heard a song off of "...And Justice for All" that was not called "One"? I know many times working graveyard shift at a gas station a few years back I would request like Blakened or Fight fir with Fire from Metallica and all I would get was One or Enter Sandman. They don't have those songs unless the DJ goes and buys the CD himself. The record labels are in cahoots with the radio owners and they only play what they want you to hear. They argue and say they do not but they do. I have to many friends and familly in the radio biz and they all complain about the Gold Disks cut what they want to play into nothing.
  6. I would really like to see anothe Mechwarrior or Mechcommander come out. If another Mechwarrior comes out, I hope they follow the actual game unlike what they did in MW4. I came from playing the actual game and still Game master now and then for Battletech. I do not like how they did the weapons in MW4. I still have a ME box in the corner just to play MW3 to this day. That is all it does is play MW3.... I need a life.... lol
  7. Guru is the father of all the namecks. That is correct. Some weird asexual reproduction going on there if ask me... lol
  8. I said it was the father of DinDae not dindae himself. I couldn';t remember Guru's name... thanx for the info!
  9. Staying with just DBZ and not counting GT or DB, I have to say that Krillin is more powerful. On Namek when the father of DinDae unlocked Gohan and Krillin hidden powers he was very powerful and increased from there. Tien is strong yes and was more string than Krillin in the beging but Krillin surpassed him quickly though... my 2 cents...
  10. There are many obects out in the Oort could and in the Keiper belt that can be construed as planets if not studied well enough. Pluto and its moon Charon are considered to be planets but are also contested as being some of the largest Keiper objects. This is also the region of space that the comets come from. All of the bodies that are out in those regions are left overs from the acreation disk that formed our solar system. That is why thedy are being studies so much. I do not think that there is going to be another Planet X out there that science will all of a sudden find. Figured I would pipe up and hopefully answer some questions.... Been a couple of years since I was studying Astronomy so I apologize for spellnig errors. (Amature Astronmer)
  11. Thank you for the reply and will give it shot!! Greatly appreciate the feed back.
  12. I have been playing and researching online for a few weeks now on a custom install of XPSP2. I have been absolutely succesful in all the goalks that I set for my project except one... I can't seem to find a solution for it although I am very close now. What I have done to start with. I took XP with no SP at all VLK edition and slipped SP and all updates as of 08/01/2005 into a disk. Ran Setupmgr.exe and created a basic winnt.sif. Modified it with several entries from the unattended pdf (very nice file BTW!!!) and ran the driver packs from Bashrat version 5077 and have got it nicely setup. I will include file contents later in the post. My issue is that other than picking a partition to install into I do not want to touch the machine at all. When it is at the desktop it is done. In and of itself this is not hard and I have succesfully done this very feat. My problem is that I want the disk to create an account called "User" with no PW at all. I found in M$ KB section a switch to remove the password for the lin of Net User User /add/Passwordreq:no and this works. When I make the disk and boot, it wants to try to login as Administrator. I tinker and try to change it a bit it then asks for a password from either User or Administrator. I hope I wrote this clear enough... My goal is to create a account called User with no PW at all and have it go into this account every time after the install is done. I also removed the autologin.reg file as it seemed to make matters worse. It got better after removal. Thank you all in advance for your input on this matter!! Keep up the good work!
