  1. But does that work on any gpu or something that has to be MSI branded? Also is there a difference between what you linked to and http://event.msi.com/vga/afterburner/download.htm ?
  2. Fan control software for my NVIDIA GTX 660 GPU?
  3. Only damage if powered disconnected while in sleep be lost stuff in RAM?
  4. Guess I'll find out when I put it in.
  5. Since Im on a Dell I could possibly run the windows 8 install from the other drive and install fresh on the SSD.. Might do that. Which would then ask me to pick 1 of 2 version of windows 8 correct? Is there a way to hide it and only do 1. I could just set the timeout really low but I would prefer if I could just remove the one entry. Perhaps this? http://www.tech-recipes.com/rx/1160/removing-a-dual-boot-in-windows/
  6. Yeah I wanted to keep the files in tact on the old HD just in case.. I could disable it in the BIOS or set the SSD in the BIOS to boot to instead of it picking and getting confused. I'll try that when I get it. Also is there anything I should disable the drive from doing like defrag? Not sure if it does it automatically or if I need to shut it off. EDIT: Found how to turn off defrag.
  7. I had guessed that, but I never did it before. But I still want to keep the old HD (It's 2TB why wouldn't you). What would happen if theres 2 copies? Let you pick from two different versions of Windows at boot? Or how would I keep the files on the old but delete the 2nd option at boot if it did that?
  8. Buy SSD Plug in SSD Clone HD to SSD --- How to pick SSD to boot to without it seeing old HD and asking which one to use? (Windows 8)
  9. Well I don't have hibernate only Sleep Shutdown Restart. And Hibernate is set to 'Never' in the power settings.
  10. (Windows 8) Last night I must have hit Sleep instead of Shutdown and turned the power off and when I turned it on today it resumed sleep and my stuff was open. Did I damage anything by doing this?
  11. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826105185 Doesn't say anywhere... is it possible to still find it out?
  12. I have a terrible computer, and mine is nothing like yours.
  13. When you are at the "Start" screen and start typing to search for programs or files, it only searches the installation drive, I have other partitions on the drive I would like to be searched as well, can you add locations for it to search?
  14. I have windows 7 running ATM. Is it possible to partition the drive and install 8 so I have both or do I need to format the drive and lose my 7 install?
  15. http://www.tp-link.us/products/details/?categoryid=217&model=TL-ANT2424B ? or do you have any that you can link to would be fine.

  18. I wanted to clone the state of my computer and restore it. The OS on the recovery partition is Vista, I'm using 7. Will the previous post above this one allow me to say... Back up my current state...and if i say...reinstall W7 on this machine, use that backup and it would make it look exactly like how my computer looks right now?
  19. Uhhh. Something free that I can image my current state of the drive and save it to an external if I ever need to restore.
  20. Any experience to give me a direction of the best one?
  21. I know there are disk imaging software listed here. What I want to know is if anyone knows which of them would easily allow me to install windows, save an image of the fresh install. Then if I get a virus or something, I could just revert back to that image? Is that possible. Thanks
