  1. simplest way would be to have them make a copy of the database, open each table and select all (ctrl-a), delete, save. then run compact and repair under the tools menu and send you the copy. you will have all the structure but no data.
  2. the /qn and /qb options don't give error messages. try installing without the /qb-. don't change any options set by the mst file, just click next, next, next, etc and when it fails it should give you an error message.
  3. it is a driver problem and it can happen on ps/2 or usb... that is if the keyboard is one of the fancy multimedia ones with a heap of other buttons on it and/or has alternate uses for the function keys... put a plain old keyboard on to do your install and then put your good one back on next time you reboot.
  4. two people i know have got the zen micro and they both came running to me with the same problem. it is worth doing the firmware update for compatibility issues with wmp and outlook. i tried tweaking and poking and updating software for a while, but nothing really seemed to work properly. so in the end i uninstalled ALL creative software/drivers from the pc and reformatted the zen. get onto the creative site and follow the links to the latest version of the software/drivers and install that. (do NOT install what you got on cd and do an upgrade - i tried this twice and it never worked very well.) sync your music back to the zen. all should be working now
  5. yes... in tools - options - calendar options if you tick sat and sun as the work week, you will get the whole week all in column view, and another way is, in calendar view, turn on the taskpad so you have the little month view calendars at the top. now, hold control and pick the days (on the little month calendar) that you want to see in column view. they don't have to be in order and you can skip days if you want. and you can have more than a weeks worth. these two work for displaying the data on screen but i think it will still print in the old combined sat/sun layout. this works in 2003 btw
  6. if you haven't got acrobat, there are several free PDF making programs around eg. PDF 995 it installs as a printer driver, and you just print your calendar. if you are just emailing a few appointments, you can also just drag them from the calendar into the email as an attachment and at the other end, they can be dragged into the calendar.
  7. for DVD Shrink you can use: /verysilent /NOCANCEL /NORESTART /SP- this will work for pretty much all inno setups
  8. there are a lot of progs out there to capture streaming media (don't ask me what they are, i don't use any). have a look in google. i'm guessing there may be some freeware ones around. But it all depends on the exact format. the example above is not really streaming video, like an online tv station, where you just hook into the stream at whatever time it is up to. For many video clips, you can just view the source of the page and work out the url to the video file. type that directly in and it will just download (or if it keeps wanting to play you may have to disable the plugin in your browser or paste the link into a download manager). for your example above, you can just right click it and choose save (i can, using the quicktime 7 player/plugin)
  9. purely from a security point of view, i would seperate the gaming server from the one running the day to day business/sales/email.
  10. well, for the regular interval send/recieve, select: tools -> send/receive -> send/receive settings -> Disable scheduled send/receive for immediate send check the box at: tools -> options -> mail setup -> Send immediately when connected i'm not sure about disabling the sign-on, sign-off check. you can set it to download headers only (which should leave the mail on your server) so that it can be scanned by your filter software.
  11. your boot.ini should look something like: [boot loader] timeout=30 default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS [operating systems] multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Windows XP Professional" /noexecute=optin /fastdetect multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(1)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Windows XP Professional x64 Edition" /noexecute=optin /fastdetect your default is probably still XP Pro, make sure the timeout is long enough to let you choose x64
  12. Defiantly use nlite! this thread contains a lot of hotfix info
