  2. Hej Kalle ! I cant remember where on MSFN I found how to do it, but it was really simple.. It worked ok for me on the swedish edition without problems, search again, I think it was like 2 or 3 lines in cmd....
  3. I used to use slysoft virtual clonedrive but that one does not seem to work ok with vista x86 Have tried PowerIso but the virtual drive created by PowerIso is not detected by Anydvd !? I think maybe this does that I cant mount a .img and watch it with powerdvd..? So the question is, what program do you use in vista 32bit to get a virtual drive ????
  4. Had to go by the A option instead... Downloaded all KB:s and unpacked them, changed name on .MSP file to KBxxxx.msp and put them in Updates folder on cd... Works fine

And yes I have enterprise... Hm, found some errors myself, have made a new file an testing again...

  9. 7-zip did the trick, neither winrar or winzip worked
  10. "stupid" question, how do I unpack the .exe file ?? Nero-7.10.1.0_sve_update.exe /Kent
  11. 1. If I want to include "all" available servicepacks for Office2007, is it just to put them as they are in "Updates" dir on cd ? (for instance office2007-kb924884-fullfile-x86-glb.exe) 2. Is there a way to see exactly what updates I should download to be "up to date" ? (except to install and run update..) Found this list but maybe some updates replace another !? http://thehotfixshare.net/board/index.php?...pic=97&st=0 Thanks for a great guide
  12. SwedenXP, if I want to update Frontpage2003 can I use the office2003 SP3 package and inject that one ? (or should the SP3 only be used with Office2003 pro disc)
  13. Do you happen to have the link for the "ork" procedure nearby ? I have searched a while but not found any good easy guide... Found this.. http://unattended.msfn.org/unattended.xp/v...cd02f11cdc315a/
  14. sorry for "pucko" questions But the unattend.mst, do I have to make that one with "ork" program ?
  15. Can you share the "comment" for the rar exe ? /Kent
  16. And if you have Frontpage 2003 cd you can inject SP3 there also... Same install part as above and then "inject" MAINSP3.msp into FP11.msi msiexec /p f:\Office2003SP3\MAINSP3.msp /a f:\Frontpage2003\FP11.msi SHORTFILENAMES=TRUE /qb
  17. I lend this thread a bit... SwedenXP have you also "included" Frontpage 2003 in same package ? Have you described somewhere how you do your install ? (I guess you do it unattended during install of OS ?) /Kent Ps. It was really easy to slipstream SP3, like 3 or 4 rows to copy and execute, burn a new disk..no need for a "program" for that. Ds.
  18. Really great guide Martin ! (http://firegeier.unattended-sponsor.de/en/sitemap.html) I have tried the section "Install drivers from USB or DVD" and have some questions: 1. Step2, why image 2 and not image 1 that are stated as PE ? 2. Step4 inside the file SetDriversRoot.cmd, why X:\setup ? (also a small miss spelling in the header "Creating the SetDirversRoot.cmd" ) 3. In your german guide you mention FWDT.exe in "Schritt 5" but not in the english version ? why ? 4. Is this the place to present AHCI drivers for vista so it can be used during boot, PE is the first moment in installation so it should be..or? 5. You dont mention what to do with the Autounattend.xml file created/edited, I assume I have to save it and use it in install moment of vista as "always".. I also tested the "Slipstream updates" part and have some comments here to 6. If you dont have a distribution share I guess its ok to just create a new answer file (as you say), and that way the pictures look different, the updates goes directly into the answerfile when using Insert, packages... 7. If I go directly to this part of guide I miss 2 folders at step 8 , Sandbox, Logs in my directory, if I dont create them the command line cant run ! /Kent
  19. Thanks for your answers ! hm, I downloaded the 890830 from windows update instead of Microsoft update catalog, then the file looked different.. What is preferable ? MUC or WU ? Have some more questions.. 1. Is it possible to inject AHCI driver also ? how ? its irritating today to alter bios, install driver in vista install menu, reboot, alter bios.. 2. Do you guys make new install sets everytime there is new updates or drivers ? 3. Can someone share their regtweaks file ? I am looking for examples like multi download in explorer, show hidden files, alter desktopimage, and so on.. 4. On xp some KB:s seem to replace another sometime, I am not sure if I have seen that with vista, or ? 5. If I want to install programs like winzip, acrobat reader, which method do you think is the best ? is it the setupcomplete.cmd ? 6. Could you say that the setupcomplete.cmd acts exactly like RunOnceEx in xp ?
  20. Thanks for you answers Here comes some more questions to you Maverick I use Microsoft update catalog to download updates, I got the strange 890830 from there... should I dont use the MUC ? Can you tell me more of your way of making the DVD up to date ? Do you use WAIK ? You dont download the .msu files ? right ? You have put all hotfixes in a catalog ? where ? what name ? does the catalog remain on the DVD or is it copied to harddrive via installation? This way you DONT inject all hotfixes in install.wim? Do you include drivers also ? Is there a way to include AHCI driver ? Is it possible for you to PM me your whole answer file ? Do you have a tweak reg file also that you can send ? (Can you point me to Martins guide ?) Ah, found it, firegeirer... I am still learning vista unattended, this is so cool
  21. I think it "only" have 1 MB total... If you look at the CPU I have QX6850 http://processorfinder.intel.com/details.aspx?sSpec=SLAFN it is stated 8 MB cache and I dont think I have 4x8=32MB cache...
