Hi There. I found something that might point you to the right location. Windows stores each folder's view settings and customizations in the registry, but this data is limited to 400 folders (200 local folders and 200 network folders) by default. The data for folder view settings and customizations is stored in the following registry keys: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\Bags HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\ShellNoRoam\Bags

I'd try a repair of Windows. Boot from the CD, choose to install, accept the license agreement. And then press R for repairing the detected Windows installation
