I guess you could use the extra $80 to up the video card but the X850XT for $89.99 after $30 MIB is a fantastic price and is still a pretty beastly card even by the standards now. Its not far behind the X1800 in terms of performance so its great bang for buck. Also i chose 2GB of ram as the $30 MIB seems a very good price for such high quality memory.

You could also use it to buy a new power supply or dvd drive or whatever takes ya fancy.

  2. If it was something that you had downloaded or was being shared around on the internet then yes it would be illegal. There are a few going around where ppl have come on here and said things like "My XP Pro Gold Edition cd isnt working and the program installations are failing" The usual response they get is. Dont download warez [ Topic closed ]

If it was just something that one of your friends may have done for themselves then it would be fine. personally nlite used to be alot easier to use. The new versions explanations arent exactely great and could confuse alot of ppl that are new to the program. i suggest you download the free version of microsoft virtualpc 2004 sp1 and use it for testing all the iso images u create with nlite. that way it will save alot of hassle burning cds and reinstalling all the time.

  3. Saying things like an Intel dominated world is a complete fanboy comment. They do not totalyl dominate the world. The only thing that Intel has over AMD is the laptop market. the last 3-4 years with the Athlons and Opterons AMD have been the favoured chip in the mainstream and server markets. Intel should definately get those back now though with the new chips theyve produced.

It is quite interesting to hear about these socketed GPUS, They will be sharing the memory pool that the CPU uses which unfortunately means that your going to need a huge amount of memory to have a top performing system. I cant really see many benefits for it right now but im sure there are some. By the time they come along though we should be into socket AM3 which will hopefully have support for DDR3 or DDR4 memory.

Also Shindo just because you dont like ppl correcting you over clearly bias views there is no need to be rude. I would appreciate it if you kept those kinds of comments to urself in future as they will not be appreciated on these forums.

  4. Im guessing your an Intel fanboy with comments like that. AMD have been the top dog for the past 3-4 years and increased their market share by quite alot. Intel have only just managed to catch up and produce some decent processors although their support for 64bit applications is still a total joke.

AMD have done a clever thing really, buy merging with ATI they have practucally forced Intel into following their business strategy with these socketed GPUs that they are talking about. nVidia still love AMD as its their biggest source of profit and will also follow suit also. Alot of things are going to happen in a few years time and im guessing AMD will have an even larger percentage of the market.

  5. whys it so important that it has 512MB memory ? You were going to buy 2x7600GS which would have 512MB memory but that doesnt mean crap . A 256MB 7900GT with its faster clock and memory and more pipelines will totally obliterate the 2x7600GS at all resoloutions with and without AA/AF.

  6. i voted ps3 too, i agree the xbox 360 is a piece of sh*t, couple of my friends have them and even they think they're a piece of crap, unfortunately the ps3 sounds like it might be a big flop with all these delays and the fact developers arent too keen on designing games for it. Nintendo Wii is definately the one to watch out for as i have a feeling they could be getting the crown of the consoles back again.

  7. it would most likely have to be an avi , ive never tried adding an avi or animated gif so i cant be certain. Just try softpedia.com and see if you can find an animated gif to avi converter, im sure someone has made a freeware one or theres a trial basis shareware version

  8. Firstly , Stop being so impatient and demanding a logo, Secondly give us some details as to what you want in the logo and what size you would like it to be. You cant just say i want a logo with these two words in it and expect someone to make something.

Judging by what you have said so far here is a logo for you

  9. The Intel chips have been way over hyped. Intel has always relied on ATI for its graphics solutionsand now that AMD owns ATI and Intel has pulled the bus license, no more ati for them. Yes you could buy a Conroe and a X1900XT for now and it wiould be great no doubt, but 6 months time when Ati wont be any part of intel whats going to happen. Intel has stated they will start doing integrate graphics solutions themselves. So yes you could have a mighty new Intel chip but whats the point. 6months time you wont be able to upgrade you wont have any driver or bios updates. Your pretty much screwed. Not worth it if you ask me

  10. everything there seems to be pretty good, Only thing not worth getting is the X2 4200+ as they are a waste of money.

Either get the X2 3800+ save some money and overclock it, Or go one better and get the X2 4400+ which comes with the larger L2 cache. Alternatively a Opty 165 would be a very good option.
