  1. I'm waiting on Homeworld 2, Half Life 2, Fable, and Ninja Gaiden. No Halo 2, or Doom this year, so I'll have to settle, I guess.
  2. Services baby! First, you got all these internet related services chunking around in the background (update, IE, messenger, etc.), and then, you have your ISP's garbage on their too. On top of that, the MTU registers on the modem are are defaulted to midrange/non-optimized levels. So, you got all this junk going on, and the modem is limited. Get yoruself a modem optimization utility, disable some services, and walk away from IE in favor of something lighter, like Slimbrower, Avant Browser, or something really small like K-meleon.
  3. I've been having this same issue with Diablo II and LOD. The screen goes blank, system seems to be running, but there seems to be no CPU activity. Did some checking, and it seems to be an issue with DX9a, causing some type of kernel fault. I'm downloading DX9b, let you know if it fixes it.
