Well I'm doing something wrong...but I can't figure out what...no matter what I do, I'm not getting an admin password created...I'm wondering if any of you could take a look and see what I'm doing wrong.... Just an idea... I recently had a theme not work because the font that was needed by the theme was not installed as part of my unattended installation... Might want to check that...?

Hmmm...well I know it sounds bad. But I do own 3 copies..just made the stupid mistake of packing them before we moved July 31st. :S Hopefully if they see that I'm not asking for a key , it will be ok?

I know this sounds bad, but I am an honest guy who is in a bit of a predicament. I own 2 copies of XP Pro (activation required) and 1 copy of XP Home. I have created my own unattended install in the past, and keep my unattended install discs handy at all times. What I don't keep nearby is my original discs. The problem right now is that I want to slipstream SP2 into a new unattended install disc, and my original discs are locked up (with most of my other stuff) because we're in between moves. I can't slipstream SP2 into my unattended disc cause it immediatedly notices I have software installed as part of my CD... So what I'm wondering is if anyone has access to, or knows where I can get an ISO of Windows XP Professional SP1 (activation required). I have my CD keys on my unattended CD labels...I just need the disc image itself... Hope this makes sense...if anyone has any links or ideas for me, I'd appreciate it. Edit: My versions are XP Pro OEM ...so I guess the image would have to be OEM for my keys to work.

I've changed my paging file to Drive D through the registry tweak given above...what I'm wondering is: do I still need the pagefile.sys that is on Drive C ? Or can I delete that? (I haven't tried yet, so I'm assuming Windows will let me)... Does anyone know if I need this other pagefile.sys file?

(I mean does anyone's unattended install actually put the toolbar at the top of the screen every time?).... My ToolbarWinXP value seems to be different every time...?

Geepers this is frustrating....I can't get my taskbar to move to the top of the screen (as part of my unattended install).... I've read all the threads I can find (about the TaskBarWinXP key)....and still it's not working for me... I'm wondering two things....first, do I maybe need to have a key that unlocks the taskbar before I import the reg key with the appropriate settings? (in my case I want to move the taskbar to the top of the screen). Secondly...can anyone lay this out for me, plain and simple...perhaps I've gotten something messed up as I've read the different threads... I would simply like my taskbar at the top of the screen....no quick-launch is necessary, as I install True Launch Bar after my setup has completed...if anyone has any ideas, that would be great... I haven't found how to do this with a registry file...can anyone let me know? There are some settings in the registry tweaks thread, but I can't really tell which one is the right one... I'm looking to change from the current default Icon View, to List View... Thanks

This has gotte be the easiest thing to do...but I don't know how, and after searching for 10 minutes, I still don't know how... How can I set the name/label of my system drive during an unattended install? Thanks....

Just extract all of the files (using WinRar or whatever) from within the setup file, into a folder. Tell your install to check that folder (inside your drivers folder)...and it should find your nvidia driver...

I've been tryin' to get Nero installed to an installation path other than the default...and even though it as /PATH= as one of the switches....I'm unable to get this to work properly from my RunOnce installation.... If I don't select a path, it installs to the default without a problem...if I do select a custom path, it just doesn't install... I want to install it to C:\Program Files\Nero ...and might be messing up where to put the quotes... That's what I've been doing...anyone have any suggestions? REG ADD %KEY%\025 /V 1 /D "%systemdrive%\Install\Applications\Nero\setup.exe /SILENT /NOREBOOT /PATH="C:\Program Files\Nero\" /NO_UI /sn=xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx /write_sn" /f

Hmmm..forgive my ignorance, but I need to ask this question just in case... When you say this latest patch "supercedes" all others for IE....are you saying it's the only one we need? Or are you saying that it needs to be installed last? I have the following list of updates that are installed for IE and Outlook Express, maybe I'm installing updates I don't need? I'm wondering if someone could help me on this... When I call the vbs I get an error saying "'C:\Documents and Settings\Alison\passexpoff.vbs was not found" I'm not sure what "//B" is for....but I have cscript and passexpoff both in the install folder.... Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong? Thanks
