After reading all the stuff here, i was gonna add something, but no, that would be useless, anyway this thread started with a link to a site where they mention CCleaner, as i am a fan i've got to say that they are wrong when they say that "is a bad thing" that this tweak was implemented in the application, well they wonder why didn't they get an answer from the guy/s who develop CCleaner, well now you'll see how a bad advice gets spread on the net, sure i full agree that whats on that page it's true and you, the reader, also.. and if that "all" it's true why not the "tip" with CCleaner, so you'll end up thinking that althought it does great stuff but also has a litlle bug, thus not making it a great (must have) app. like it is, and even if you install, you'll remember that you've read about that tip and disable that feature , in fact it doesn't delete the data that is in the prefetch folder unless it's Really old, if u wanna convince yourself try it. Voted No, because to many people are making codec packs and so, you don't even no what to download anymore and why use winamp 2 when you have 5 thats 2+3 ..you just switch to classic skin and it's really the same thing. Edit : Anyway thanks for thinking of this !

Man this is good. I didn't read all the post but i've seen one that says something like, why should we do this, because as soon the app is in use again it will regain that freed memory, like that, why sould we, if u got some tray stored app. like Y! Messenger wich takes up like 25-40 mb for just sitting there minimized and many other, anyway i think this is great stuff, but not many see this, you can schedule to run say from 30 to 30 min or less/more.. i think you should try it out !

It's not that i need 40 & 40 opened windows but i want to use all my ram, who know maybe i'll want to open more windows and apps. and leave them running for a litlle faster access, about the wallpaper... i know, that's not my current wallpaper, i was just trying some walls from deviant when i decided to take the screenshot and post.. Please see this screenshot ..as you can see, i have a lot of opened apps. and windows and enough free memory, but windows refuses to open some more.. if i try to open more it doesn't display nothing..at this stage evrething runs very smooth, winamp playing, some downloads in progress and even the skinnable app. on the right side .. i mean Windows it's not busy doing something.. so it sould let me open more. i've read somewhere about some memory tweaks AditionalCriticalWorktreads.. and another that i can't remember right now,does this has something to do with my "problem" if i increase that value would it make any difference ? ...and for future posts..how do i link a image, i mean just a thumbnail..instead of..this... ?

Yes.. seen that, sorry, i've just woke up, about that.. i'm thinking.. u might wanna try word Wrap off maybe it points to another line.. just saying.

If line 180 is Home_page = http://acconet.acco.com/ , then it might be that, i had a similar problem with the Home_Page in winnt.sif file

Its obvious that you should uninstall a pack before applying another..

You cannot apply png icons to windows, you got to convert them into windows icons, Icon Workshop does a great job.

"EXIT" yes, but "Attrib- r" maybe he want's to use the batch in some unattended stuff, and then the batch gets read-only, thats what happens with every file i put in the OEM folder..
