  1. i have a ALi ATA/SATA raid controller pci card. i tried installing xp using this DP but during installation it prompts me with "unsigned driver" error..i click 'continue anyway'.. it then prompts me for the same error after sometime but this time cursor disappears and keyboard doesnt respond either..setup doesnt get any further.. is there a way u can add xp-compatible drivers for this card..the drivers im talking about are in this directory D>M>AU>2 .. any help in this regard would be great!
  2. i tried to d/l the latest mass storage pack..but it gives me: Not Found The requested URL /DriverPacks/DP_MassStorage_wnt5_x86-32_6031.7z was not found on this server. Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request. is there an alternate link or something? thanks for all the great work basharat!
  3. i hava the same problem but that is with my hp810c printer...the drivers for the bugger are included by default on the original windows xp cd..the "windows update/found new hardware" dialog still pops up for some friggin' reason...any way to bypass this would be highly appreciated!
  4. im having the same problem with alcohol's installation...a "new hardware" window pops up during runonceex.. solution #1 (confirmed but not professional) is to just ignore it..dont bother abt it..dont do anything to it..it will disappear by itself after 10-20 seconds.. another solution which maybe possible is to copy off the two files (a347scsi and a347bus) to ur $oem$/$$/system32 on ur UA cd..and *hope* that alcohol will find those two buggers in the system32 dir during installation..im doing that with my current cd..and test it 2mro... i tried using the above mentioned "driver0=a347 blablabla" but the window popped up still.. im still trying to find a proper way to install these drivers.. one question though..is this problem only occuring to those who use nlite? i used nlite and had alot of problems with compatibility issues..this time im going nlite-less (disc space not an issue)..so lets see... any suggestions wud be really appreciated since this thing is messing up an otherwise really awesome progress..
  5. just replace white with the "magic pink" i.e. default windows transparent color which is (255,0,255 in R,G,B)...thats it..anywhere in the image where theres "magic pink" those parts wud be transparent..
  6. i downloaded the ncab.rar from the first post..followed all the instructions to the word..but all i get in the end is a 65kb nero_custom.exe...which doesnt work...wat to do? from wat i get from ur instructions is: 1. unrar ncab.rar 2. put it in the same folder as nero6.6.0.12.exe 3. run ncab.exe 4. on screen instructions to choose components.. 5. but then i get this 65kb file which is not right.. really wanna have this app silently..plz help!
  7. so is it now confirmed that wmp10 can be installed silently (without any EULA and accept-this accept-that windows) during win xp sp2 unattended install? or is there any other glitch that is left? seems everytime some one comes up with a potential solution theres a new problem that comes up...if this is final i will copy-paste the code ...im totally useless in coding so cant really understand anything..
  8. i think i may be able to help u out on this one! the bitmaps in the *.scr file arent showing cuz the pallete for those bitmaps are placed externally..bitmaps are present in the file..but not showing since their pallete is not in the same file..the bitmaps therefore look all black instead of showing windows insignia etc....so...wat to do? easy.. 1. d/l the pallete given below...save it to a convenient location.. 2. open the bitmaps in the *.scr file with a graphics program (preferably paintshop pro or photoshop)..or any software which has pallete loading ability.. 3. now load the downloaded pallete in ur graphics program..for photoshop it wud be: image > mode > color table > custom pallete load 4. now the images will suddenly start showing all the colors..edit the file using the colors in the pallete.. 5. save the file to replace the bitmap in the *.scr file..should work... NOTES: 1. i did the same with my ntoskrnl.exe file whose images werent showing either..and it worked like a dream when i did the above steps.. 2. i recommend opening and editing the images by using Resource Hacker or Resource Edit rather than creating a new image from scratch..this is because of the stupid color depth and format restrictions Microsoft has over alot of its files which use bitmaps..e.g. ntoskrnl.exe, logonui.exe, etc, etc.... HOPE THIS HELPS...its the first time i wrote something in this forum to help someone.. *feeling good*
