Try using the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE for your reg from the Cmdlines.txt

Here can you test this script, I cannot test it as I do not have any remote machine to connect to. If this does not work then could you get the Ip address and then I can try making a script that connect using the IP address instead. Note * I have added all the Const for the way the app runs

How about a script that kills explore then restart explorer. So it applies the changes. Post the reg changes you want and I will script it so it applies them and then run the above script.

Google PE Resource Explorer because I do not know if this is still being made, I found this about 2 to 3 years ago. The Explorer.exe that I have link to in this thread is the same one I use to install, so it been fixed, so all you have to do is modified what you want on the start button. If you would like me mod it for you leave what ever information needed and I will make the changes.

You may be right, but MS on connect site have released both a Check and Debug version of Vista. I use the check version and the amount of services have been about the same, I usually get it down to about 34 sevices running.

I already new what makecab does, but with this statement It seems like you are saying rename it to that.If you ment to say that the makecab renames it to this EXPLORER.EX_. then this statement would be not needed But since I took your statement to mean after the makecab has ran then rename the file then my statement was correct.

You do not need to rename the Explorer.exe to to Explorer.ex_ because after you run make cab you are left with Explorer.ex_
