Hey dude, just been out over the weekend. I didnt ask you to edit your post because i thought the new topic idea was a good one, ah well. Let's just concentrate on improving this project. Thats some nice ideas. When you say run credits from the left or right, what exactly do you mean? Do you mean allow for aligning the text to the left or right? Or a transition where the text comes from the right or left? If you meant the first then would the option for the aligning be given for the categories title, text and sub titles, or a universal variable for all strings? The subtitles idea is a good one, and one i can easily fix. The pictures? You say by the side of a credit, would that be at the end of the line (title, text and/or subtitle) or would it work for the top and the bottom of each slide? I'm already pondering how i could allow for the use of multipictures, hmmm interesting. Thanks for the good suggestions. Keep up the feedback!

Originally designed to run before the final restart command flash credits is a simple way of acknowledging the people or applications, or even companies that helped you with your unattended CD. With many formatting tools and image support you could show a personal/company logo as well as custom backgrounds. Having said this I would be interested to see adaptions of this idea, as would the users on the original Acknowledgements thread. custom text and titles custom image support The FlashCredits logo in the bottom right is actually the background jpg, also custom. New version improvements: -Support for custom jpg backgrounds -choice of whether to run fullscreen or windowed -Choose to show music artist and track information -The text have some multiline support how to use strings.txt: strings.txt is where you can customise the slide show by editing the text after the = sign. Be careful not to put spaces between variables in the strings.txt file, otherwise flash interprets the variable differently. Open up strings.txt in your text editor and change what you want. I should have a new version coming out soon. I've sorted the custom jpg background and music artist/track credits. I might also have a mess about with the font formatting, but i won't promise anything

I have a 3rd gen, the battery is totally dead, Are you using the latest version of iTunes? The driver cd aint much use anymore, its so old. Also is your ipod connected at the time?

@war59312 What kind of options would you like to see in an .ini file? Flash only imports plain variables from text files, but I would like to know what kind of formatting you would like to see. Thanks

@Moonlight sonata thinking about the shutdown command, i thought it was gonna be in your final cleanup batch before executing the flash projector shutdown -r -t 60 start pathto/cred2.exe then the shutdown command happens shortly followed by the projector, does the shutdown prompt appear always on top? Flash can't execute shell commands, but a simple batch file could. What is the other way? @bonedaddy good idea about the music credits, i'll get them in somewhere keep the comments coming, gives me something to work towards edit:About the new thread, i'll think about it, maybe the next release, if the improvement is as sizeable as the last few.

Thanks very much I'll try and get out a new version very soon, with the audio support Watch this space Edit: The reason for the loss of picture quality is because the project is an 800 by 600 canvas that is stretched to fullscreen, so the image is too. I think I can stop the picture stretching to bigger resolutions.

Is Dell using a volume license key? They shouldn't be. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I would've thought they do it because they can't make every cd have a different winnt.sif can they? They provide you with your own product key anyway, it's on the side of your case isn't it?

@ bonedaddy Thanks for the comments I've coded music support in now anyway, and a little dynamic fade on the end. I could even make a random track play. The image is merely an example, but if you like the theme I can try making another, he does look like a clown though. If anybody doesn't like music, they can just put useMusic to 0

Hey again MOONLIGHT SONATA, hehe, about image.jpg... Basically my idea was that you could put your own logo there or something similar. I put it as an example as well. Its existence in the zip is just so you can replace it, and the idea about defining the path in strings.txt is good too. I will definately implement that Also I will make the string_title and string_text have different font strings. I will do my best to turn out some kind of final product, just keep up the comments

@evilvoice Unfortunately the strings.txt has to be one line, otherwise flash completely messes up the colours. I can do the background music thing quite easily, so that will be seen to. I will also see what I can do about the picture. I hope to be able to give an option in the strings file whether to use the picture. Thanks for the ideas, I'll get back to work

News: Working on your suggestions I've updated the strings file so you can select the background colour as a 6 digit hex code as well as changing the titles to be more suitable. I'll release summit tomorrow night. Things to do: -allow custom image support (think i've got this one covered) -allow custom font size and style (WIP) -make up time

I had a few brief tests with using the text file to affect which background is loaded, i'll try again anyway. If the credits would be simple like "driver compression:.............." and such then i can probably make some nice transitions Can you think of what the other headings would be?
