This maybe a bit obvious, but have you check the system32 folder to make sure the dsa.msc is there?
Take care buddy!

Welcome, both of you. Best of luck to becoming an MCP.
70-270 is a relatively easy exam and you guys will nail it with no problem. 70-293 is where the fun begins. Hehe.
Once again,
Welcome to MSFN!

This is not a Software problem. Windows XP is not using Firefox as the default browser, therefor, this should be on the XP forum.

The site that tarquel recommend is very good. Anytime I need to know something about a laptop, that's my first stop.
I also have a TravelMate 8104WLMi [recommend by tarquel] and I'm the happyest man in the world. This thing is really good and I use it for 5/6 hours everyday.
As for service, I heard allot of bad things about Acer. Most of them, about Acer Portugal therefor, I can't really make a honest opinion about US or Canada.
Still, if you are thinking about getting one ... go for it!!
P.S: Just dont buy those $900 ones ... I have one and it is rock solid, but you never know ...

Since you guys are talking about Hardware requeriments, I thought that you should read this article by Brien Posey. He is a great author and really knows what he's doing.

OK. From a second reading I got the message right. Sorry for the unuseful information.
I don't know if it's possible or not, Google for it.

I would say drivers. Are you sure you have the lastest drivers for your NIC?

@ Yzöwl :
I tottaly agree with you.
That's why I said that, if anyone knows *exactly* what they are doing, there should not be any problems. However, you are right about saying that allot of people, on daily basis, come here and ask instructions on how to add something back to their install.
Bottom line: If you have the time to 'study' the requirements of a application, to study the Service function and to think on the long run, go for it.

It's important to tell everyone that, if you bought the Core pack, backwards compatibility will not be present on the 360. This applies *only* on Premium pack's.

That was exactly what I was thinking. LOL
As for your question:
First of all, you need to check if your iPod is compatible. Then you may want to read the iPod Linux FAQ and after that, check out the Windows Installation instructions.
Since iPod does not have Memory Management Unit, a special Kernel was made. uClinux, so, you can't install a desktop distribution on the iPod.
You should have posted this on the Handheld Forum.
Take care.
P.S: If the controls dont work, having Linux on it will not help in anyway! It will still be unuseful.

Something that has not been discussed, yet, it's security.
I have the opinion that a Service wich will not be used, doesn't have to be there in the first place. Yzöwl - before deleting/disabling a service, you know if you are gonna need it or not, therefor, it will never 'hurt' performance in the long run.
As for security, I think we all share the same opinion. I'm not even gonna start with the 'Default VS nLited' war, I'm just gonna say that, if a service is exploitable (wich allot of them have been), the risk of been hacked is *allot* less (~ 0) on the computer in question than the ones that have it running.
This is so obvious that we dont even any discussion.
The same goes to everything else ... There is a exploit found on X, you dont have X, you wont be vunerable.
As for the Thread Starter question, it all comes down to this:
If you know exactly what you are doing (What services do, if you need them, etc), then removing and disabling will do the same. However, if you don't need them, removing would be a 'cleaner' job.

Hi. First, please try and choose a more appropriate forum the next time. This is technology news *only*.
About the NameServers, I checked and the name servers responsable for the domain (worldnic.com) are not the ones you said. Are you sure the NS's are not:
ns1.netsol.com. [216.168.229.228]
ns2.netsol.com. [216.168.229.229]
ns3.netsol.com. [216.168.229.229]
Maybe the company changed NS and you don't know.
Take care.
