nlite does not create the $OEM$ folder for you. So hopefully you didn't create a bootable ISO with nlite. you just need to create the folder yourself in the folder you told nlite to make. P.S. no one is answering because this is covered in the guide, which you should read from start to finish. ( I'm sure some will get a chuckle from the irony of a n00b saying this to another) I've been reading the guide over and over for almost a month now so don't think you'll get it all right away.

how are you checking that it has been parsed ? Reason I ask is that it may in fact be working but you msi is not. try removing the cmdow so you can see what is happening.

just to be sure I understand this correctly I only need to run this exe and do not need to add the transform=blah blah to the batch? or do I still need to add it ? And I assume this is just an Autoit Script? What is the passphrase so I can decompile it and have a look, if you don't mind?

I don't seem to be able to find anything about the "File Name to search" Box. What is that for ?

@simonsays Ok 2 questions. First to add my profile to your install I need to unrar it, make the changes and then, I assume rar/sfx again. But what comments do I use to rar it again? Did u just have it run setup.cmd ? Second I actually asked earlier but no response as yet so I will include it here in your guide you say to comment out lines 742-759 in the config.ini But I am not sure that the config.ini is the same in 1.0.2 so would like to know what it is that is being commented out to be sure i comment out the correct items. And actually just thought of a third. I don't see a cleanup.cmd and if I am reading the setup.cmd correctly files will be placed on C:\ so I would need a cleanup.cmd right ? Thanx Edit: One more question. when I add my profile to your install, My extensions folder is included in this, so I am a**-u-me-ing that I dont need to reinstall the extensions, is this correct ?

Well I'll have to try again tomorrow or something. I have removed my extensive host file, turned off all my filters on my router, and even completely disabled my software firewall. Still can't connect to them. Must be something between them and comcast. I might try forceing an new ip to see if that helps. But thanx for the help

Yeah, I was able to get nlite before with no problem. Not sure if you just started using whatcounter, but I was able to use you site no problem before, it went down. I'll try cleaning out both my cache and rebooting.

the reason I asked if the link was correct is, that the link to he hot fixes points to http://ryanvm.msfn.org/updatepack.html and the link to the Java installer points to http://www.whatcounter.com/dlcount.php?id=...iles/jre502.exe I have no problem getting the hotfixes, but both ie and ff timeout trying to get the others edit : guess whatcounter is down. can't get nlite either. and going directly to whatcounter , just gets the same page not found. OK thanks, but what about the format question, I also have office 2003, I do have the original disk for that, but would be nice not to have to reactivate it. I am thinking it won't work if I format the harddrive.

Hi Totally new to this so bare with me But I am currently using a machine with xp pro that is of course activated and legal. But I broke the install disk some time ago. I have a brand new Disk with new key etc. the new disk came with sp2 already on it. My question is can I save the activation on my current install and use it with the new disk? I also heard that saving the activation would not work if you do a format of the harddrive, is this true? Thnx in advance for the help
