  1. Thanks for the tip. I'm trying to use Regmon but it is kicking my butt. My head hurts....gonna go get some lunch. I'll try again after lunch. In the meantime, since I don't really have a clue as to what I'm doing, has anyone else done this?
  2. Anybody get NAV 2004 going w/o having to re-enter activation code? (Not asking about cracks Orange....wanting to take a registered version and import registry key or such during install to avoid having to re-activate everytime.)
  3. Anybody here doing the Steam Client w/ CS?
  4. Answered my own question....you can search "nero demo"....just not "nero." Here's what I was looking for: http://board.MSFN.org/index.php?showtopic=...63&hl=nero+demo
  5. Well, that isn't exactly it. No, I'm not cracking the program, I'm importing the registration # like Gosh said. Neway, the way my install works, it ends up saying Nero Demo in the start menu. Someone on here mentioned specific steps a while back to avoid this. I think it had to do w/ order things were done.
  6. Someone here gave a hint to do some step before another to avoid Nero from coming up as "Demo" in the start menu. Anybody here recall what that was? I'd search for it, but for some stupid reason I can't do a search on "Nero" (it's to small?!!!)
  7. Well, as I said in my first post, -R FORCES a reboot. It's not recording, it's rebooting. I don't even get the option to reboot or not.
  8. So you're saying I don't need to use a switch? It creates the setup.iss anyway?
  9. Ok, the nVidia nForce drivers use an Intellishield installer. I tried running setup.exe -R, but that forces a reboot. I can't seem to get it to record the setup.iss. What am I doing wrong?
  10. I just did it Friday morning. No problems. Just burned to the DVD+RW then loaded it in a new laptop. Next time I have changes, I'll just burn again over the same DVD+RW.
  11. So I guess we're lookin' at next week now?
  12. I guess you haven't gotten around to updating yet?
  13. I guess your're not gonna share w/ anybody how to do this?
  14. If you've got and Alienware PC, that might be normal. =P
  15. So does this mean I can download themes from those other skinner 3rd party apps and use their skins without the apps. WindowsXP will be able to read and apply correctly? if so, interesting...once more! You can use the ones written for StyleXP. Check www.ThemeXP.org I don't think you can use the ones made for progs like WindowsBlinds or whatever it's called.
  16. Why do you need to select drivers? If you have a VIA chipset board, it loads the VIA drivers....if you have an nForce, it loads those. Now if you're talking about control panels, that's a different story.
  17. Actually, that is exactly what I want. Everytime I rebuild, I just drop in the latest items (drivers etc....) then reburn. Course my friends won't be able to do that, but they can rip the stuff off the DVD and make their own if they want.
  18. How is this progressing? Any coders looking to improve on it? (Sorry, I'm not one.)
  19. Regarding this, I read that if you skip the welcome and don't enter a user, all of your programs that are installed are installed for Administrator only and will not be installed for other users. Any feedback on this? Usually not an issue for me, but I might actually let my roommate use my PC from time to time for things his PC can't handle.
  20. Hmmmm....maybe this is what I was looking for? http://board.MSFN.org/index.php?showtopic=8478
  21. Wow, resolution for a problem I've been wanting to fix for months now! I'm itching to DL it!
  22. Yeah, option #1 is probably w/in my means but not very efficient. Your second option would be preferable. Maybe others on this board are interested??? I think it'd be awesome to hand the disks to my friends (who already have their own copy of XP of course) and they could install it on any of their machines w/o me having to explain how to edit the files to leave out progs they don't want.
  23. Forgive me if this has been discussed, but do you guys think this is possible? What I'd like to do is give my friend a bootable DVD w/ all the files and programs I usually install, but with some sort of easy interface giving him options of what to install and what not to install. IE. He doesn't have an APC UPS, so he may not want to install PowerChute.
  24. Forgive my ignorance (know nothing of xml files, .net, and the like,) but what exactly does this accomplish and why is it easier to "just edit the xml" than to just edit a batch file?
  25. Hehehe, not sure if it was there B4 or not; but I just saw the little drop-down CD/DVD selector. Thanks for the help guys.
