  1. Myself = somewhat of a button fanatic, similar to you. I have recently begun to use MyPal 68, and of course lost all of my UXP related extensions, including some for buttons. I have been looking for compatible replacements, and your announcement is very encouraging ! I just tried to install Custom Buttons [which I first downloaded] from your linked page, and MyPal 68.12.beta5 says that the extension is corrupted. This seems odd, because I can open the XPI file manually on my local hard drive, and can see and examine the other files which are inside of it. Am I doing something wrong ? You said something about needing to make additional changes in the browser. Is that what I still need to do ? And is that what you will be explaining in "More on this topic soon" ? Thanks.
  2. Speaking of webmail accounts becoming broken with some browsers, has anyone been able to log into a GMX account and see the normal full UI, rather than the limited version [which I suspect is the mobile device version of their service]. Which browsers and versions have or have not worked for you ? A few weeks ago, I began to have the problem, even with newer versions of New Moon and Serpent from September, and including trying MyPal 68 beta 5, and older FireFox 52.x ESR. Their error popup says that they support FireFox 33 and up, but obviously this is not true. I am curious about what method GMX is using to exclude the newer browsers, as doing a UA override in about:config does not help this time, where with some previous changes at GMX, playing with the UA did solve a similar problem. If anyone has a Mail.com account [same parent company], the same thing has been happening there, according to a friend who has one, and they have also tried the latest version of the 31 series of Pale Moon, as well as some more recent versions of FireFox than I can try, as they run Win 7. Thanks.
  3. ~ I have intermittently experienced the same problem with the New Moon 2022-08-05 build, on XP Home SP3. Just now, it showed like in your pic, then I refreshed the page, and the normal login fields appeared and allowed me to log in. Not sure either with which version the issue began, as I too do not go there a lot, but our two builds are a few weeks apart.
  4. OK, I just duplicated my portable install of New Moon 28.10.6 , and upgraded the 'bin/palemoon' folder within it to the same dated 2022-08-06 build of New Moon 28.10.6 , and now it displays those elements too. This time, I left uMatrix enabled for that domain, allowed selected crosslinks, and things still work. BTW, I chose the date of the build to be the same as what you and I had found to work for Serpent 52, to determine whether both browsers seem to contain the same coding improvements implemented along the same timeline, and for this test at least, it appears that they do. Anyway, this worked so well that I will soon be bending your ear/eye again with an issue at another financial site, but only after trying the newest browser builds, because something on that other site was not fixed by this date of build. Another thanks to you !
  5. I just downloaded and updated the [basilisk or firefox] folder within my Serpent 52 install, to the version which you are using, and yes, I now see the elements which you mentioned and showed, which were missing to me before. I had set uMatrix to be completely disabled before doing the update, but that alone had not helped. BTW, this is on XP Home x86 with SP3 So thanks once again, and I will next try updating my New Moon 28 similarly. Another report will be upcoming. Cheers !
  6. Thanks. Your insight has been valuable to me in the past, even before I joined MSFN, and I do think that those elements [or their predecessors] worked for me earlier this year, when I last visited that site, where I am considering opening an account. OK, so I will try newer builds of both browsers as you suggested, and will report back. Regarding script blockers, I do have uMatrix installed, but had already told it to allow everything to pass for that domain. Possibly I ought to turn it completely off in the Add-ons manager, just in case it is doing something which it is not admitting. And I too run uBlock Legacy Edition, but had also disabled it for that domain.
  7. Thanks for the quick reply. However, I'm not sure where you are pointing me. The only JavaScript-related setting which I have in New Moon 28.10.6 is this one [see pic], and it is enabled. Other JS elements seem to work, such as hovering over the edit box icons here at MSFN. In about:config, there is a whole page of JS settings, and they are all set to their defaults. Are you saying that I need to add an extension ?
  8. Please would someone shed light about why some of the links near the bottom of this page do not work ? https://www.pcfinancial.ca/en/pc-money-account/ In particular, the link called 'Legal Stuff' does nothing when I click on it, and also the plus signs next to some of the questions not far above that link, which I think should expand answers next to each. I have tried recent [2022 May 28] builds of New Moon 28 and Serpent, and neither seem to open these parts of the page. Thanks.
  9. Hi, I've been using and enjoying Roy's builds for several years [as well as lurking in this thread and its predecessors, and learning from posters], and am grateful to still have browser choices which look and behave like legacy Mozilla, and which support my legacy Mozilla extensions. Like many of the posters here, I too hate unnecessary change. Usually I can figure out what to do when website incompatibilities happen, whether because I updated a browser, or sometimes a site makes changes when I have not. Today, I updated an install which I mainly use for YouTube, from New Moon 27 of February 2020 to same but of May 28, 2022. It works and seems stable, but I encountered a problem when YT wanted me to login to my Google account in order to view a newscast which contained some violent content. The login page for Google did not work. Even with a new profile with no addons, the problem persisted. It's been a few months, but I am pretty sure that the last time that I had to do this with my last version of this browser, it worked. I have also tried several alternate UA strings for YouTube, but without improvement, and sometimes causing other problems. So I ask : Is the Google login borked on newer builds of New Moon 27, or did Google just make yet another unannounced coding change to their site and I am incorrectly blaming the browser update ? Has anyone else had trouble logging into their Google account with any build of New Moon 27 ? If so, what did you do to fix it ? I the meantime, I will copy from a backup, and try the old version to compare. Thanks.
