Hey, dear good people..Thanks for your contributions to the thread. Yes i know, a 5400RPM HDD can't make some kind of miracle but honestly, i wonder about just "limits" maybe. This speed, seems weird to me (i mean, slower than it should be) Before i met here, i never care that kind of things. Never considered, if my hard drive fast or are something up to date etc. Now, i've seen, some of forum members doing incredible things with XP on here and they are already pushing the limits.This is great. So i just wonder and of course, , i'd like to do something if it's possible.. I love using XP. It's still my main OS and my most important files in it. I've purchased that drive after small bad sector on old one and it's 2.5" inch.. You know maybe, it's hard to find 7200RPM 2.5" drives. Anyway.. Hi MSFN gurus.. My hard drive supports even SATA3 i know..I've purchased it past year. It's a seagate 2.5" thin laptop HDD which is 5400 RPM. Recently, i've purchased a HDD Caddy from Amazon..(uGreen - and that also supports all new features.). I throw out my old CD-RW drive and put that HDD caddy on there. (It's a sata port, not IDE) When i look from HDD Tune, it seems hard drive working as UDMA 6 Mode and Average speed is 77mb/s. My file transfer speeds also make me sad ...(around 7-8mb/s) I am using this laptop at AHCI Mode Enabled. I can see it from Device Manager. (Intel 5 Series 4 port SATA AHCI Controller is installed). My system is XP SP3 All driver updates done after i meet this great forum. As another useful info about system, CPU-Z shows my chipset is HM55 (south bridge).., intel P6100 (2Ghz).. My question is, all these are normal and usual for me? I wonder why i can't see SATA2 speeds at least after using all that AHCI drivers. My BIOS shows 2 option only about HDD. 1- Complitable 2- Encanhed ...I am using Encanhed mode, i read, i may mean SATA equal on old Bios's. Btw, i can't choose other option because gives BSOD. Now since 2 days i want to learn and wonder..Reading over here and Google. Read something about Fernando's Modded Drivers...Am i have to do that kind of thing or am i doing wrong something? Your support much appreciated for me. If something possible for more HDD speed, i wish i don't have to install XP again with press F6 while installion. If there is another way, i will glad to route. Because after all that article reading, i confused honestly Thank you.

dmiranda, thank you for that. It didn't solve my all problems but it may a great milestone for my research motivation after than. I tried now and it's still working with Google Drive as you said. I have Amazon, Icloud and one more local service. Can't try with others in CarotDAV menu. Amazon and Icloud, no success unfortunately. Btw, maybe after some try-fail it may work with Google IMAP but till now i can't do it. (tried ports 993 or 465 or more but no way) Still, that little software which seems from 90's (favorite times of web for me) a good catch. Thanks again.

Hi, is there any file sync desktop software for XP., working and stable? In depth; I have Amazon Drive but i can't install AmazonPhotosSetup.exe to my XP SP3 OS. High probably they stopped support for XP as usual. I have Google Drive but i can't install Google Drive Desktop. I already know, they've stopped support for XP. That software requests Win7 as minimum. (Btw, i tried fcwin2k but honestly i can't success with it. I'm a newbie on these.) My wish is a basic software which give me ability of manage my online cloud storage from my desktop easily. For example i have Photo1.jgpe on Google Drive and want to copy that to Amazon Drive etc. Or creating new folders, deleting them etc..) I have make some research but can't sure which is good for me and common for my purpose. i.e sync.com claims their paid service and software working for XP but can't sure and trust. If anyone could give some mentor i'll glad. Thank you.

I didn't try others but i can say for newcomers to here that, nginx method worked for me and that was the easiest solution for me. Thank you OP for collecting this all information on a single topic and offering us regularly. Also surely thank you for creators of that all ways. As OP said, while reading other long topic i was so confused and can't sure about what i need to done exactly. Temporary solution to grant access to MU/WU using nginx method due to interference of AV/firewall To people who want to do MS updates with this method, please disable your antivirus software/firewall if you have one. It takes my 6 hours to figure this while trying to connect windows update site lol. Of course each PC has different status and each one may have other error codes, problems while doing this but just saying an extra experience. Regards.

Hi everyone. Firstly sorry for my noob question and English. I am not a native speaker. As a brief, my question is ; how could i integrate/embed polyfills into old browsers to be able to view some websites that i can't view ordinarily, or to use/see some HTML5 elements-scripts or functions in that site which i can't use before ? Or can i do this? Is that possible integrate polyfills into a browser's core? (or shims whatever it called). i.e a HTML5 element which is firefox 52.9.0 not supported naturally in core/kernel? I am using Windows XP SP3 old laptop. All updates (including POS ones) are done. My browser is Firefox 52.9.0 since years. I am so familiar with it. Of course i always trying new ones (Roytam's browsers, Mypal, 360 and others..) Basically i can say, this is the main browser where all my sensitive data is stored. As i see from CPU-Z, my device support SSE, SSE2, SSE3 and EM64T. (I can't research deep yet what they means, just seeing this terms all time and can understand, some pc's can't do something because of CPU-Motherbord capacity imo) That was the summary of my question and brief info about my HOST machine/browser. Maybe that help experts while replying me.. After that, I just want to write a few observations and what I have learned about this till now. Maybe there are users who are more beginner than me. Because love learning new things, love reading...As i understand; Polyfills can mimic something and if website owner use/add polyfills or some comlied *js files on source code, his/her website can be useable/loadable from old browsers too. When i check a website's source with Firefox's console, i see tons of .js files..Some of them polyfills others usual files..And of course FF52 can't recognize can't detect modern functions because of missing DOM elements or other things which i can't called correctly now. (hope you can understand what i mean) That's why, most of website can't load correctly on browser...Or so slow..Or freezing. Or laptop's fan starting make noise because of high CPU usage etc etc. Also i am 100% aware of that, it is not all about polyfills don't worry lol.. It may about browser's javascript rendering capacity host OS capacity or other some factors...As i said, i just wondering of possibilities on here. Here's an example short story of mine.. Recently i figure, when i using some useragent in FF52, i can't open Youtube correctly. I see only shapes..(CSS's and other all site functions not loading) But when i use famous webcomponentsjs i can open youtube well with all functions. I just copy and paste webcomponents-bundle.js file content from UNPKG right into Tampermonkey and run that script at beginning of load and i can success. I've done it before for other websites with other "polyfill.js" kind files and worked. But that my acts are totally random. I am not expert on this or i am not coder as you can see. I just trying something. For example i go to polyfill.io site with my browser and it automatically give me needed js file, i am putting it to tampermonkey or other some monkey add-on and it working like a userscript. So, therefore i start wonder how this can happen. If this can happen, is that any way to inject that *js file's code (or some content of that code i.e one HTML5 element or ECMA6 script etc) into browser directly without using a monkey-such userscript add-on? I am really totally confused because after try-fails it make me more excited. Want to learn more about it and i can't find satisfactory answer yet. People not care old systems and mostly i can't understand some conversations or discussions at Github while searching for something.. Sometimes, let's say a js file not working for X website for my X purpose i.e...But, after i put it to babel's online complier it start working. I also learned build some polyfills with NPM. I installed an old version of nodejs to my old XP SP3 laptop and can build some addons with npm commands. After build them, i am doing same things with same order... * Put that folder's one *js file into Tampermonkey, * choose "inject instant" option from settings * and mission accomplished :) So mates, i am wondering what the hell is going on here :) i am an oldschool guy from HTML/CSS times. I know that languages. Maybe little php from php5 times..Know something about making websites, using server panels like Cpanel, WHM but that's all. I totally foreign modern web..The terms/frameworks which i see everyday, like react, angular js, vue.js etc i totally have almosty zero knowledge. I still stuck on our old javascript, HTML days.. So if someone can tell me about my questions with considering my noob knowledge level, i will extreme glad. Google can't work for me this time :) TL DR, i can say, i want to learn the simple reasons (for my some questions) and the limit of possibilities that can be done with polyfills on old browsers.. My first message and newbie here compared to your level of knowledge...So, sorry in advance if i say something wrong for you. I was using FF 52.9.0 since years and XP SP3 (32 bit) on an old laptop. (with Intel P6100 2.0 GHZ CPU / 4 GB RAM ~ seems 3.42gb anyway) This seems incredible for me. I just downloaded and trying...It is working much better than I expected. I mean, i was expecting more error from that Quantum browser version of Firefox but for this moment it's good for me on my system. Thanks to those who contribute. -- I was able to install uBlock Origin from official Firefox Add-on website. (Before, i was using the legacy version from github) I simply copy paste my filters etc and no problem on it. I also can install many add-on from official site without problem. -- Youtube loading so fast now and not using much RAM from even my FF 52..It may directly related ublock firstly... Plus, surprisingly after i start to use this user-agent since 2-3 days, Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/100.0.4896.75 Safari/537.36 Youtube loading like a jet and player not using much ram on me (with also uBlock active) I don't know the main reason...Maybe because of youtube's that annoying polymer fetch scripts or other something which i totally newbie (polyfill's, endless js frameworks with catching and loading with UA) But in the end finally i can view videos without using another embed tube script from youtube.com site without my laptop fan louding and without %100 CPU usage. -- The biggest bad thing for me at this moment which already pointed above is protonmail causes crash. i tried many times with trying to do something but result same. Even on old.protonmail.com or new app, it causes fast crash. Hope they can patch it soon. Regards.
