  1. If you don't need Microsoft explorer gui trash, there are other stuff that will work just fine, I have gotten everything but bluetooth and audio to work without the desktop experience. https://gist.github.com/bp2008/922b326bf30222b51da08146746c7c27
  2. Very interesting! Thanks for posting! Any other stuff they try to remove?
  3. Sure but it should be able to work for those who do want it.
  4. There is a whole thread if you want to use a server as a daily driver. Got everything but audio/bluetooth working. https://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/diy-server-2022-to-workstation-post-install-settings.84501/
  5. How do you install audio? Never had success with it.
  6. Ru board posts updates every so often. https://forum.ru-board.com/topic.cgi?forum=5&topic=20420&start=3240
  7. Archive.org Directory File Index – Find What You Need Without Downloading the Whole archive Need just one file from an archive file (.zip, .iso, etc) but don’t want to download the entire thing? Use the Windows File Index – a powerful searchable list of Windows system files. Just press Ctrl + F, type what you're looking for (like notepad.exe, calc.dll, or a specific driver), and instantly see where it’s located and what version it belongs to. Click to download. It’s a fast, easy way to grab exactly what you need—no full ISO required. Perfect for troubleshooting, patching, or tinkering without the bloat. Example: Technet Windows XP 64bit Eval https://archive.org/details/ab-1-pxfre-en click Show All under download options on next page click (View Contents) next to the ISO name
  8. Seems to be working well, but some may not want their printer or network share to be disabled. If one really wanted, you could delete the dll files these services rely on, that'll also work. If you really want a barebones system, you can delete all autochk files, with voidtools search, as well as sppsvc too, if you don't use microsoft office.
  9. Thank you! I will give it a shot.
  10. "ask Virgus to explain it to u in more detail - not that easy, believe it or not." Fair. Maybe we should make another thread for that. "have u installed win10 or win11 on a vhd yet?" Yes I have win10 installed.
  11. "ready for a plethora of instructions on the matter." sounds good. Perhaps it can be scripted too. I know the internet archive has a decent portion of reboot.pro archived, so perhaps it could be possible to scrape the site/resources and make a searchable database som
