  1. i downloaded it free but without any documentation. i am curious about its features as opposed to the vmware product. I will have to try and get vmware to see which works better for me. i dont have any development uses for it. i just plan on having a virtual lan and practice setting up AD, and other windows server activities in my studies toward a non-paper mcse. i just dont have the space and pcs to setup a true lan with numerous servers and clients. which product will serve me best?? Also, i plan to setup numerous versions of linux clients and install samba so i can learn its feature set and familiarize myself with the products.
  2. has anyone used virtual server 2005 yet?? i am planning on using it but its hard to get any info that you can download and print from ms website. its a real pain printing page by page. has anyone used it and if so, can you offer some tips?
  3. i also am getting this error, please explain as to how i can fix this. i also used n-lite.
  4. Bash, I started everything from scratch again and this time it worked, the only difference it seems is that the massstorage driver pack i had used previously was different in size and date to the new one i downloaded. The new one worked flawlessly. Thanks you for you effort in compiling an exhaustive work that helps all of us. You are a good person.
  5. Bash, i dont understand , i put the driverpacks base in a folder called C:\filesforxpcd, i ran the executable for the base which extracted to c:\filesforxpcd\driverpacks. From there i ran the BTX slipstreamer after copying all the driverpacks into the created folder within c:\filesforxpcd\driverpacks\driverpacks. I ran nlite to slipstream sp2 and Ryan's full pack and after the process but before the creation of the .iso, i copied the contents of the folder c:\filesforxpcd\driverpacks\uwxpcd_root into c:\xpcd. i then ran the batchfile Run_me.cmd from within c:\xpcd. After completion of the process, i used nlite to complete the process and create an iso. I then proceeded to test the iso using Microsoft Virtual PC2004. The error i described appeared very early in the build process. Any help would be greately appreciated. Also, the file 3wareDrv.sys is not in the i386 folder within my XP build.
  6. I have completed the process, i used Nlite to slipstream sp2 and ryan's files then i used your base setup and followed the directions but when i tested the completed iso, i am getting an error which kills the entire build. "The file 3wareDrv.sys could not be found. Press any key to continue" Please help, i have no clue as to what is happening.
