Ooo this is fun. I'm doing a clean install of XP 64-bit on a Phenom II X6 1100t machine right now. I'll post my results when done installing

I'm encountering a weird problem where my my internet connection speed seems to be throttled down to 20mb/s only when I'm using Windows XP. This occurs when I'm using my Realtek 8811CU WiFi adapter, as well as the onboard Realtek LAN on the mobo. Under Windows 11 this problem is not present, as I'll achieve DL speeds up to 300mb/s, and it also occurs when I'm using a completely different motherboard, and different installation media. I've fiddled with the qos packet scheduler in the group policy editor, and that made no difference either. Does anyone have any ideas?

It will work, but you won't be able to have many tabs open concurrently. The 4 tabs I had open were using roughly 2.5 GB of RAM.

What is more concerning is the fact that windows firewall prompted me, asking if I would like it to continue blocking connections from the Chrome application. It would appear that the browser is trying to phone home or something.

I thought this deserved its own thread, as opposed to hijacking the supermium thread. I'm posting from this browser right now on my XP machine with discord, ESPN, and youtube open, and haven't experienced any crashes or bizarre bugs yet. I'm a bit disappointed that we don't have access to the source code, though.

... but please don't bother, it's the same what cpu-z is showing here on my Z170 installation - allways on Max-Multi. The more relevant info seems to be the actual Watt consumption, (eg. shown in HW-Monitor). Eventually you can post a screenshot of the power consumption too...
The core speed actually fluctuates properly depending on load, believe it or not! I have PBO enabled as well, so I think it tends to boost a bit more aggressively. I had a torrent downloading in the background, so that might explain why it was boosting. But yes, thank you, this thing absolutely rips with XP installed

Woohoo! I got it installed! In the end I wound up having to use an NVME SSD, and it was extremely picky about which m.2 slot I had the drive installed in, but it works!

Right, I did use a SATA SSD and SATA CD-ROM drive and still get the blue screen.

I've tried every driver available, and they all cause a BSOD except for the backported Kai Schtrom backported Windows 8 SATA/AHCI driver (which doesn't allow me to see my SATA SSD).

Has anyone successfully installed XP 32-bit on the B650-E platform yet? I'm trying to install Ramsey's XP on my Strix B650-E with Ryzen 9 7900x, and I cannot see my SATA drives once the installer loads.

I think it's not too old machine to be caused by unsupported SSE instruction. I never seen this crash when using MyPal 29.3 or Chrome 360 Extreme Explorer.
Even I wonder how it's possible to shoot down XP from user space, I would expect such problem in a driver but do MyPal call some drivers directly?
I believe it makes calls to the GPU for webgl

Maybe you have NoScript or similiar addons? Or you have enabled in Ublock Origin additional filters beyond standard?
Try to disable NoScript if you have one. If you not, try to disable Ublock Origin and see what happen with Captcha then.
No scripts are being blocked. It seems to be an issue exclusive to 27, because 28 works just fine. I prefer to use 27 though, as it is much lighter on system resources.

I am unable to solve the new captcha on 4chan with New Moon 27.10.0. Anyone ideas? When I drag the slider to make the different parts of the letters in the image line up, nothing happens.

Pcmark05 doesn't complete the entire suite of tests on my machine. I think it depends on outdated functions in IE that no longer work. No scores were provided.
