  1. Thanks for the tip! I actually purchased WindowBlinds already back in 2010 but at that time my computer were so old so running WindowBlinds slowed down the computer so much so I couldn't use it.

Then I have forgot about that program so I haven't tried it in 9 years. But now when I installed it on my brand new computer it runs smoothly without problems.

It seems to have extremely many options so it can be played around with in very many hours. So far I have only tested to center captions and it worked great.

I have looked around but I haven't find any option to just import an .msstyles file. I still use that beautiful theme "Longhorn EV savoury.msstyles" you helped me with before. I want to import that theme and then make the caption change but it doesn't seem possible to do that. But maybe it's there somewhere but I haven't find it yet. Have you seen any kind of import option for msstyles files?

  2. It hasn't prevented any of my icons to show in tray so far and I have about 15 icons there. The most annoying thing is the "sample" dialogs that shows maybe 5-6 times at every startup.

So if that's possible to fix it would be great but otherwise I can add a delay to GlassToasts startup so it starts maybe 30 seconds later and then I will not see any "sample" dialogs any longer.

  3. Amazing as usual! Super thanks! :thumbup

Just two small bugs I noticed after test:

Even though I use GlassToasts64.exe -auto to hide the start dialog it still shows at every start. I mean this:

    toasts.png

The other bug is that the shadow reflection are yellow in start dialog and in skin "Beta1". But it's not yellow in the other skins. Can it be fixed?

Edit: Found third bug that appeared after I put GlassToasts in autostart and restarted computer. This dialog shows several times during startup:

  4. I know this question probably is posted in wrong section in the forum because it's about Windows 7. But I have been doing a lot of internet searching and I found practically nothing about this anywhere.

So I want to ask here because I think the knowledge about this is highest in this thread. It would be very interesting if @bigmuscle or maybe anyone else here can answer my question.

My question is if it's possible to get the titlebar text center aligned in Windows 7? I mean like it looks like in Windows 8 and also possible in Windows 10 with Aero Glass for Win8.1+.

I guess dwm.exe must be edited in some way to make it work. I copied dwm.exe to desktop with help of Raw File Copier Pro https://www.novirusthanks.org/products/raw-file-copier-pro/. Without it I couldn't either copy or edit the file, not even in safe mode.

I have no programming knowledge but I can edit dwm.exe in hex editor HxD https://mh-nexus.de/en/hxd/ if someone knows exactly what's need to be edited to make the text centered.

I hope the solution is that easy to only edit dwm.exe. But I have no idea, maybe much more is required to make it work.

  5. I just wanted to say that I made a mistake, the download link from aveapps does work: https://www.aveapps.com/glasstoast.zip

I mixed them up, it's this link from the developers even older site that doesn't exist any longer: http://mpj.tomaatnet.nl/glasstoast.zip

Source code also available here: https://www.aveapps.com/GlassToastFiles.zip

@UCyborg If no one else knows how to do it, I'm very grateful for your help even if it takes a long time before you can look at it, there's absolutely no hurry.

  6. I have found the program GlassToasts https://www.aveapps.com/glasstoasts.html

The program can't be downloaded from that site any longer but can be downloaded from Softpedia https://www.softpedia.com/get/Tweak/System-Tweak/GlassToasts.shtml

The problem is that it only works in Windows Vista and XP. I wonder if someone has the knowledge to modify it so it works in Windows 7 also?

The original developer has released the source code at Github https://github.com/AndreasVerhoeven/GlassToasts

I've been messing with this exact theme in the past, so it's already done. Just overwrite original aero 2.msstyles file in your Aero 7 folder. Also, it might be a good idea if you copy the content of \Themes\aero\Shell folder into \Themes\Aero 7\Shell. Someone reported glitches in Explorer because of older shellstyle.dll. The author doesn't find the time to rebuild the whole thing for newer Windows 10 builds.

Now it looks exactly as I want it to. :D Thanks so very much for your fast help! :thumbup Also a big thanks to Big Muscle (Aero Glass), Sagorpirbd (Theme) and JoshuaVL1988 (Atlas) for making Windows 10 look great again :worship: in comparison to the very ugly :realmad: original look of Windows 10.

Start regedit, go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\DWM, create new DWORD with a name CenterCaption and set its value to 1.

This won't cover applications that render caption text on their own, most notably ribbon-enabled stuff like Explorer, Paint, WordPad etc. You need to use modified theme to cover those, so you'll have to use one of the methods that allow usage of unsigned themes.

Afterwards, you can try to load the attached theme. It's a stock theme with nothing else changed except caption text alignment for such windows. Extract the content to C:\Windows\Resources\Themes

    CenteredCaptions-Win10-Build-16299.zip

Thank you very much for your help. I'm using Sagorpirbd Aero 7 Clear theme https://sagorpirbd.deviantart.com/art/Aero-7-Themes-for-Win10-Final-523979941

If you could add the part that changes text alignment for ribbon windows into the Aero 7 Clear theme and put it out here I would be very grateful.
