Hello, since I install the Update 1 on my Windows 8.1 PCs, I have a bug with mouse with all of them wich have dual screen. If I move my mouse normaly (not fast) to go to an other screen, it is blocked on the border of the screen where it was (and don't go to other screen). To go to an other screen, I must move the mouse very fast and it's very anoying. The problem appears when I open one Modern UI app. If, after boot, I don't open any Modern UI app, I don't have this bug but If I open one, the bug appears and it still present even if I close all Modern UI apps. I have 3 PCs with dual screen, all have this bug and this bug isn't present on Windows 8.0 and 8.1 without Update 1. So my question is : what I can do to remove it ? This is really a bug or a "feature" ? I can't work correctly with this ! I have spent lots of time on the net to search how to fix it but I found nothing.... On all of this PCs, I only have put OldNewExplorer, Big Muscle aero glass mod and Classic shell but this problem appears also with a clean Windows 8.1 Update 1 install if I use more than 1 screen... I know, I used some DirectX patch for some old games on my pcs so I think taht the SFC problem is that but I must do that.... I have a problem with BigMuscle's dll for theme signature, when I use it, the system crash every times I open a new window..... This is why I use UxTheme Patcher

I use it but I haven't test but, when you change a system file in 8.1 it disable your activation and I don't have this problem with it. I will test the SFC EDIT : the sfc fail but with a pc without UxTheme Patcher I have this problem too....

bykaracivi? Is this a black custom theme by chance, if so what happenes to you text when you change to a different theme with a light background paper? When I change my theme to light wallpaper, I'm getting the same problem again! Text glow effects are not work on file explorer captions. It's normal because all ribbon windows don't use theme atlas glow but another glow in another part of visual style.

Do you have this problem without theme atlas ? For the glow it's normal because all windows with ribbon (like explorer, paint, wordpad...) don't use theme atlas glow but another in the theme file but the Windows 8 Aero theme don't have any glow effect so, if you want glow, you must use 3rd party themes on your computer.

Hum... If your usb key is composed like the windows dvd, you can transform it in iso file. First, you need to download Power ISO and, if you don't have, a windows 8 iso from Microsoft. Open the windows iso in Power ISO, go to Actions, Boot, Extract boot information. After, open img burn and select create image file from folder. In Advanced, Bootable disc, select Make Image Bootable, click on browse and select the boot image you had extracted from windows iso. After, just select your files to put them in your iso. normaly, it will boot if you test under vm, if it works, just burn it

@DosProbie : Are you talking about the background of those sidebars ??? If it's true, it may be an error in custom UIFILE stored in your shellstyle.dll. You can try to rebuild it and retry your visual style
