  1. I have been trying to find some information on what Non-Plug and Play Drivers and services under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services you can disable, it seems that it's not very well documented as what services.msc is. So if anyone knows a website that can explain what these drivers and services do and which are safe to be disable, that would be very much appreciated because I can't find anything on it anywhere.
  2. Thx for the welcome and info Bilou_Gateux. One other question I have is, in the list of hotfixes I am going to be installing have any been replaced out of that list. It's kind of complicated to check which are replaced and which arn't. Also I have been looking into creating a Deployment CD for Win2k, but I just gave up and decided to download everything I need to a seperate partition and just install it once the OS is installed, heh. Although I do have SP4 slipstreamed only because that was a bit easier But I migh have another crack at it with 2KCREATE.
  3. I'm running windows 2000 professional and wanted to know if 823353 is replaced by 887797, and if I should install 889293 or 889669 seeing IE6 SP1 has a version of 6.0.2800.1106. These are the hotfixes I will be installing 832483 329115 823182 823559 826232 828741 833989 835732 837001 840315 840987 841356 873339 885835 885836 889293 or 889669 ? 887797 replaces 823353 ? 819639 832353 Script 5.6 v5.6.0.8825 There is some missing because I can use easy work arounds for them, like blocking ports or disalbing services etc. Also is it necessary to install MSXML 4.0 SP2 and MDAC 2.8 ? seeing windows 2000 comes with MDAC 2.5 and IE6 SP1 has MSXML 3.0.
