Hello i have an old version of directx 9.0c and i want to reinstall it with DirectX 9.0 (Apr 2007). I got a special directx uninstaller called DirectX Eridicator. And i want to ask is it safe to uninstall directx completely. I mean will my windows boot and will they give me a chance to reinstall directx ? Or must i work in safe mode or something ? Oh yeah i almost forgot i use windows xp with sp2 ! Im doing this for the first time so please help me with this ONE ! Thnx m16si

Hello i use mozilla firefox and im on router! I have 4mbit connection! How can i LIMIT download in mozilla firefox to 100kb/s i don't want to use full bandwidth because im on lan with my brother and he pulls the plug out of router when im "eating" all download/upload! Please help i tried all sort of addons for mozilla (download them all, DL toolbar, and other stuff) and none worked ! Thnx M16si

Hello I currently have Windows PRO Sp2 can i install Windows Vista seperatly? I mean that i don't want to upgrade Windows XP but i want 2 Operating systems ? Is that possible and how can i install Vista like that ? Is the windows Vista boot-installer same or similar to windows xp, because i will try Vista for the first time and i want to know all things early so that i don't screw up anything. And i need to keep Windows XP sp2 untouched because my brother uses them and he doesn't want that i would install Vista. Thnx

I have a shortcut of a folder on my desktop and in there i have all shortcuts to games and when i try to delete one shortcut it takes about a minute to show delete dialog! I think it shouldn't take so much time! How to fix it ?

Yes chkdsk found errors but not bad sectors i thnk because the HDD is not very old its seagate barracuda 250GB But it found several "bad index entries" and it says it says chkdsk cannot continue scanning in read-only mode whatever that means ! Please help

I have a computer with windows xp pro sp2 installed. And computer starts-up really really slow like 4-5 min and in startup i only have: Nod32, Skype, Messanger and NOTHING else except those svchost and other files. All un-important services are shut down (indexing services, Help & support,...) And i have updated anti-virus program. And It still works as a SNAIL.... I have crap cleaner installed, Diskepper 2007,... all important performance based programs.... I have turned off any wallpapers, any Visual Candy, everything,... AND IT STILL WORKS LIKE A SnAiL....... Our computers in school are 800mhz and they work better with WIN XP SP2 i dunno what's wrong the windows installed on my system are not old like 8 months or something like that. I was wondering what could be wrong... (could there be something wrong in BIOS? or are services that i turned off responsible for slow computer, or maybe GPU drivers which are 3rd party (nvidia NGO), i suspect that .NET frameworks 3.0 to be a really big load of crap for windows im i correct?, i just dunno i tried boot vis, everything) and can anyone tell me what is option S.M.A.R.T. in bios ? Now i only have Lunch Page and Start Nvidia Control panel button on the right. I don't have any options (performance, information, temperature,...) i dunno where did those options go.... I have a wierd problem! when i go to START>PROGRAMS and there are some entries that i want to delete but my right mouse button just doesn't work. Hello my friend has a GigaByte 8PE800 ULTRA motherboard. And he has 1.7 Intel Celeron Procesor. Yesterday i got a 2.8 Celeron D procesor from another friend for free. And we tried to install 2.8 Celeron D into his motherboard but the procesor acts funny it overheats too much and the system is crashing all the time! I don't know if his motherboard supports CLASS D procesors. Could this be the reason that the whole system acts crazy and crashes all the time?????? p.s. The MOBO is intel based chipset 845PE! Hello i have microsoft Word 2003 and when im typing there's a wierd thing.... When i write for example 3,4 rows and i want to try to write something between those rows the text automaticly deletes i can't write anything in that sentence it automaticly deletes text from before. Even if press space it automaticly deletes text it doesn't do a space like it should. Word didn't always did that this "error" happned first a couple weeks ago! Please help me!

Hello i just got Gothic 3 and performance is terrible i mean it really runs slow and it's staggering all the time like i had 256mb of ram ! My friend has worse system specs and the game runs 100% better than me! I would like to ask which drivers are best for running games i have some beta driver i found on www.guru3d.com. Im not looking for 3rd party drivers (omega, Dna,...) im just looking for drivers that would best work with games or in my case Gothic 3 ? I also tried Acronis Disk Director Suite 10.0 but i don't like it. The program looks a lot like Partition Magic 8.0. And im just looking for a defrag. program not a whole suite. Im very happy with O&O Defrag. Thnx anyway

I tired Diskeeper 2007 and it's a piece of crap. I ran it 4 times during the night and Diskeeper said there is still 20% fregmentation. I uninstalled it and installed O&O Defrag 8.5 pro and i ran it and it said that i have 57% fregmentation i ran it, and it completely removed all fregments and the system runs great. Im really pleased with O&O Defrag 8.5 and i would reccomend it to everyone ! Thnx bye

I have a Xdsl connection with 1mbit speed. And in our apartment building i lend my connection to two more people (my cousins) with a router. And im always p***ed off because i have 500 ping or more in Battlefield 2 online play. And when i ask who is downloading both of them say they're not downloading nothing. So im looking for a program that would display upload and download inside the lan network. Than i could disconnect phisicaly the one who is downloading.... I hope you understand Thnx
