  1. Just to make you aware: The Vogons Community was able to provide some of the software sold on rloew's website in the past. It has been archived on archive.org so it doesn't get lost: https://archive.org/search.php?query=creator%3A%22Rudolph+R.+Loew%22 If you have bought some software still missing there, you can help extending that library. Just make sure to fill the creator field with "Rudolph R. Loew" so it gets added to that list. I wanted to create a collection, but that's only possible with a minimum of 50 items. So we'll have to make due by going with the creator name.
  2. I have sent xper a message and offered to help him out with hosting this website. If I had the money, I would throw in a donation...but I can't.
  3. Sad to see it go. It's the best forum for topics about old operating systems. I could help out with hosting the site, because I have a fairly decent machine in a datacentre and running this forum wouldn't be a problem for me.
  4. SteamCMD downloads a small amount of Steam files before you can do anything with it. It can be used for downloading games. I used in one time on Windows 7 x64 to download a 32bit version of a game, because the performance was much better with it. There are instructions for it on the Steam Wiki. "Officially" it is mostly used to download server applications for some games on headless servers.
  5. SteamCMD can be used to download games and it may work on Windows9x. I never tested it. though. It's weird, that Steam hosts a lot of old games, but doesn't support the old operating systems these game run best on anymore.
  6. I would really like to donate but when I click on it: Some required information is missing or incomplete. Please correct your entries and try again.
