  1. Can you check for stability first. Please download this app http://superpi.radeonx.com/super_pi_mod-1.4.zip and run 32 Million Pi calculation, should take less than 30min, this will ultimately test system's memory sunsystem including ram and chipset. Next thing would be running Prime95 stable at least for 1h, this will test your processor. http://www.mersenne.org/freesoft.htm In the end you should upgrade your forceware drivers to latest beta guru3d.com http://downloads.guru3d.com/download.php?det=1210 I believe 81.84 are latest.
  2. Thank you for download link, I'm already tired of pricey, bloated w\ propaganda Ms Office. Heads up, I love free apps, hopefully it'll work with x64-based Windows! EDIT: Works on x64 without any problems, awesome app, never used it before
  3. Why would like to use Ryans? Is it because of Unlocker or other programs? If yes, I would add them but they do not support 64-bit OS. You can't use Ryan's addons because it's not compatible with x64 infrastructure and his pack contains all files that were meant to work under 32-bit OS.
  4. New version up today, hopefully @Anon5710 will upload it to his ftp network.
  5. nLite 1.0RC1 is out, any users who expierienced problems with addons now can solve it by using latest nLite.
  6. You got it right devilrunner, I would like to include patched sfc_os.dll with my addon to disable WFP, but I didn't have success hacking that file, nobody till today hacked that file. There's one for WinXP SP2 but no for x64 . Just don't use addons for now, wait till nLite 1.0RC1 comes out. Or PM me and I will send you 1.0RC1 beta so everything will work. Right now I need your help to hack sfc_os.dll for x64!
  7. Hi @devilrunner I'm afraid tha HIVCLS32.INF and HIVSFT32.INF get corrupted with nLite 1.06b. This does not happen with next version 1.0RC1, that was one I was beta testing. Right after integration of both pack and addon check HIVCLS32.INF and HIVSFT32.INF in amd64 dir to see if they're still ~300KB, nLite could wipe out all entries from it. If it did, recopy them from clean source. And yes I use the same version of Vmware. This all could be fixed by just one file: hacked sfc_os.dll, but I had no success hacking it, that way nLite has to do this when addons used. @Anon5710 Thanks for mirror! EDIT: I confirm, this is a major 1.06b bug, either wait for 1.0RC1 or try to use 1.05b nLite.
  8. I won't work with extracted files nor .msi switches instead it will ask for Install.exe file. Only way to run it is to use MS's orginal express archive with /Q switch. That was from my expierience with beta 2.0 for x64 but waiting for final release
  9. did you even bother looking at x64 category forum http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=56778
  10. Usually something comes once a month. You can always use manual integration, and about nLite as nuhi said, it will be out when it's done.
  11. There's new hotfix that was made available to the public today, http://support.microsoft.com/kb/907865 To download Link This hotfix will be included in the next pack.
  12. Yeh, looks like winnt.sif method only works with x64 Edition! That's why it is documented in deploy.chm. Thanks Gee for command, will use it on 32-bit XP
  13. Maybe not in XP SP2 but in x64 Edition it is documented in deploy.chm: OSLoadOptionsVar = {"/noexecute=AlwaysOn" | "/noexecute=AlwaysOff" | "/noexecute=OptIn" | "/noexecute=OptOut"} When Setup processes this entry, the NoExecute option in Boot.ini is modified accordingly.
  14. Add this to WINNT.SIF [SetupData] OSLoadOptionsVar="/noexecute=AlwaysOff" That's what I use, tested to work, enjoy .
  15. M$ cut of this feature on x64. What you can do is edit mp3 in WMP10, where you you have automatically added songs to library, right click on any of them and you'll see "advanced tag editor", from there you can edit names etc.
  16. If you don't have RAID, then you will be able to install x64 without any problems. I recommend using standard windows driver for nforce4 especially with one hdd. Nvidia IDE drivers fail most of the time with single hdd. DFI UT nf4 SLI here.
  17. Well, removing battery can be dangerous, battery may leak if unproperly taken off, you can esaily break plastic that battery is kept in. I recommend clearing CMOS. Shorting two pins up 10 sec. will do it
  18. Wasn't supposed PGR3 be delayed till end of year, if yes, how can they sell with that game telling you you will get it when you preorder
  19. If you want 2Gb of memory take 2x1GB not 4X512MB because your system will only run with 2T Command rate because of on-die memory controller that athlons have. I f you want 2x1gb take ballistix, they're are best right for overclocking. I would recommend taking 2x512MB G.SKILL LE or OCZPC3200 REV.2 or GEIL ONE, all of them are TCCX samsung chips and you will clock them easily to DRR600. I Run my OCZ Rev.2 at DRR612 2.5-4-3-7 timings and like 20 other timings set to tightest. For power suply I would recommend OCZ POwerSTream 600W or PC Power Cooling 520W. ANd DFI is the best mobo on market today, no doubt, nobody can prove me wrong!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DFI owns ASUS period. Take DFI SLI-DR $169 and get ready for SLI, also this one has SATA2, some versions of -D non sli don't have SATA2. That second graphic slot willl just wait
  20. I use nLite to patch certain files. Run nLite, disable WMP or increase simultenous connection for TCIP, whatever you want, and after nLite is done, you can retrieve patched files from amd64 folder.
  21. ^^ That method is for children. get http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=39204 that cab, take out two .DLLs and copy them to OEM dir where u have "$$" folder and then regsvr LegitCheckControl.DLL. Or u can add them directly to I386 source folder and update dosnet.inf&txtsetup.sif. that's how big boys do it.
  22. I already integrated it to my update pack http://ryanvm.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=282. Thanks anyway
  23. shows on Windows e.g XP SP2 VLK, x64 VLK. Here's the cab: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=39204 EDIT: Booted Server 2003 x64 Enterprise VLK and the tool showed up. Interested in integration of it.
