Guys, once I have installed a fresh version of windows 98, what should I install next?Is there an order to follow?

Where did you find the usb's drivers? I managed to install windows 98 on my msi H97 PC Mate, but now there is a problem... No matter what I do, my usb mouse doesn't work properly.the mouse jumps around the screen , often to some random location. I have tried another usb mouse but without any result. In device manager there are 3 question marks "usb universal serial bus". I think I must install a properly driver... The strange thing is that my usb keyboard works great. Even my flash drives work great.

Thanks everyone, I bought the sata patch from rloew two years ago. As soon as I get some money, I'll buy the ram limitation patch too. Hello everyone, I want to install windows 98. I managed to install it but shortly after the Windows 98 logo appears on startup I get this error: Invalid VxD dynamic link call to device number 3, service B. Your Windows configuration is invalid. Run the Windows Setup program again to correct this problem. Press any key to continue... What does it mean? I read in internet that this error is related to Ram or Cpu... These are my specs: Motherboard: msi h97 mate pro Cpu: Intel core i5 4590 3.3 ghz ram:4 gb ram vga: nvidia gtx 960 (I have a geforce 6800 for windows 98) On this motherboard, there are two pci slots, so I can install a audio card and a network card which work with windows 98. Sorry for the late reply. Thanks for your help ;D But I have got some error messagges even with Finesse... The dolphin emulator shows me this (I have put sdl.dll in System folder, but without success xD ) And the pcsx2 emulator shows me this I have launched the emulators by dropping them onto Finesse.

Hello everyone, I have installed kernelex 2015 (jumper's version) and now I want to get dolphin emulator to work on windows 98... I managed to run dolphin with the kernelex but now, if I try to run a game, it shows me this error (error 406d1388H)... I don't know what should I do XD This error message appears when I try to run pcsx2 too

I've gotten one version of Dolphin (It was either 3.5 or 4.0, can't remember which) to "run" on Windows 98 with the standard KernelEx 4.5.2, however I couldn't run any games because my old graphics card doesn't fully support DirectX 9. If it requires some missing functions from a dll (that's not a core system dll like Kernel32.dll and friends), a lot of times I can make it work by copying the said dll from a Windows XP machine and place it in the directory of the executable. I may have had to add a few Kext stubs to make it work, but I can't remember. Good luck finding Windows 9x compatible hardware that's powerful enough for Gamecube emulation! Thanks, then I will try to replace the imagehlp.dll with a new one XD My windows 98's config is: amd phenom x3 8450 2 gb ram geforce 6800 GS PCI-EXPRESS I have another PC (my pc gaming) with Intel core i5 4590 4 gb ram geforce GTX 960 (But I can't install windows 98 in this config because of vga... There are no drivers for the nvidia gtx 960 ahah. ) I will tell you if the emulator works as soon as possible

Does this gamecube emulator (dolphin 3.00) work on windows 98+kernelex 2015? I was sure that was how I got it working the first time. But, I checked today and, it didn't work. But, I checked PE Tools and figured out that the image version was set to 0006 0000(Windows Vista). So, I changed it to 0005 0000 (Windows 2000). Here is a procedure: 1. Download PETools from here:http://sourceforge.net/projects/pe-tools/ 2. Extract it and run PETools.exe. 3. It will take a few seconds to load. When it does,go to Tools>PE Editor>Optional Editor. 4. With that, open the MPC installer. You will view an option that says: Major Image Version. The number there is 0006. You need to change it to 0005. 5. Save the changes and download appcomp.cmd (file attached). Remove the (.txt) extra extension so it reads only as AppComp.cmd. 6. But I don't have money to buy a new vga for now xD I know gts 250 doesn't work with windows 98 because of lack of drivers... Don't worry, I bought two geforce 6800 last month (PCI-E). Now, is it possible to run windows 98 on this machine? I found an interesting thing... If I connect the Hard disk and the dvd-rom in sata 5 and e-sata, it is possible to run them in Ide compatible mode P.S:The Onboard LAN on ASROCK 970 EXTREME 3 motherboard is a "Realtek RTL8111E"... If I'm not wrong, there is a driver for it, right? Where can I found it? If it doesn't exist, don't worry^^ I have also an external audio and lan PCI board. Sorry for my bad English.
