im using this drive at the moment as the main drive (booting from) and the data parititon table etc. is intact. these entries show only in the XP textmode setup and not in the OS(7/XP) or anywhere else. thats why i thought these were just fictitious labels... just see the size of one 4294644177 MB while the hard drive in total is 500 GB!

i know windows 7 runs around 5-10% hotter than windows xp on the same hardware from my experience. I'm wondering how much hotter or cooler does windows 10 run in comparison to windows 7 if anyone has made a note of that while testing so far?

Hi guys i was using one of the paritioning softwares and i ended up with the parition table as given in the attached pic. is there an easy way to fix the partition table by removing the "unpartitioned space" fictitious labels in the table between e and f drives? http://imgur.com/Yg0ITZw

ubuntu took off mainly because its used for android development otherwise it would have still been a dinosaur and it doesnt seem like they are going anywhere with thei ubiquity interface either... the hardware requirement like windows is only going up tho.. linux is right up their with windows now.

not exactly a windows 7 issue but im wondering if this amount of disk i/o activity within 12 hours of normal computer uptime is normal for firefox 32 on windows 7?

Looking for a free utility which shows which process is writing how many Kbs to the disk at any given time like the disk usage monitor in resource monitor.

i remember xables used to be 30 mb of only critical updates till end of 2012 when he stopped. 50 mb till EOL would still be ok. is there a light version like xables post sp3 till eol?

800mb + is huge. could you provide SP4 as a rollup for patches post SP3 alone for those who already have xp sp3 integrated in their XP isos?

Hi i have an old thinkpad lying around. Its wifi works fine on linux mint and windows 7 but it has trouble with wifi in windows xp for some reason. The wifi card is 2200BG. Ive removed network services component in windows add/remove components and added a static IP address it has helped in that once the machine cold boots it doesnt lose the wifi connection. But then im wondering if there is some setting which can make it easily reconnect once it wakes up from sleep without having to restart it. It is on windows wireless config, not Thinkpads Access connections. All drivers/firmware are updated.
