  1. thanks man. I have 2 warnings: one is related to my ram disk where the temp files are located, the other warning is related to another partition where the paging file is located. interesting.
  2. Hi, Can you help me with this. I have the warning "The driver \Driver\WudfRd failed to load for the device SWD\WPDBUSENUM\{c2804ef5-f4eb-11e4-962d-806e6f6e6963}#000000A040E00000" and I'd like to identify which drive or partition the problem is about. I have many partitions some ext4, some hfs+ and I don't remember how to identify them. Thanks in advance!
  3. 1. I can't believe after so many builds I am still forced to use the task scheduler in order to auto connect the pppoe connection (startup no more available). 2. Event Viewer still reports the unknown partitions (HFS+ and ext 4) showing 2 warnings for every partition 3. I uninstalled cortana as it was not available in my region with an older build (why then install it by default??) and every boot I get some stupid 1000 (category 100) errors 4. I manually upgraded to the 10565 build and now the watermark reappeared. 10240 removed it but now I have it again. Can you help with 4? Where is the progress so far? In XP and 7 I rarely have errors and I can easily customize windows the way I want. ... Now a swearing should show up but I respect the readers.
  4. Yes, you are totally right, I'm a clean freak too... Well, I'll try to use Windows less and less and especially for games or some applications I can't find elsewhere... Or stick with XP and 7. It's incredible we can't stop logging the warnings at least. Now some other stupid warnings begin to show up: network list manager and windows update need internet before Windows is loaded! I have internet but those warnings still occur (event 200, 201 and 202). http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_8-networking/event-id-200-201-202-source-devicesetupmanager/1661d61d-edd9-44ff-a364-0cae2357cfc3?auth=1 As you can't see in the link the problem is inherited from Windows 8...
  5. Start menu customization from taskbar is no more possible... I'd like to change the number of recent programs and more used programs and the tab has disappeared for the last build... Instead of fixing things, M$ removes them from options!
  6. Yes... all devices with unknown file systems... EXT4 and hfs+.
  7. Hi, I have several errors I can't get rid of... Service Control Manager, event id 7031 The User Data Access_Session1 service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 1 time(s). The following corrective action will be taken in 10000 milliseconds: Restart the service. The User Data Storage_Session1 service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 1 time(s). The following corrective action will be taken in 10000 milliseconds: Restart the service. The Contact Data_Session1 service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 1 time(s). The following corrective action will be taken in 10000 milliseconds: Restart the service. The Sync Host_Session1 service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 1 time(s). The following corrective action will be taken in 10000 milliseconds: Restart the service. And also some warnings as to the Kernel-PNP (219, task category 212) like the one below (it's because windows can't recognize linux and mac partitions): The driver \Driver\WudfRd failed to load for the device SWD\WPDBUSENUM\{c2804ef5-f4eb-11e4-962d-806e6f6e6963}#0000001B14900000. Is there a way to stop logging event 219? Thanks a lot!
  8. I agree with all your suggestions. Also I'd add I don't like scrolling to the right but to down! i.e.: for weather, why should I scroll down and movement is made to the right. I don't have a tablet but a pretty powerfull desktop and don't need the stupid customization made for a tablet. Another annoying issue: I can't customize pc settings so that i have list items. why do i need to lose time going thought categories if I know what I want. I don't need shortcuts in start menu because maybe I will use all programs and I don't like a crowded start menu.
  9. I like the new start menu and the OS seems very fast except the boot time. I hope it's not because I have a microsoft account and not a local one. I don't like the autologger eigher, which I can't get rid of. How big are your boot times? Mine is about 40 seconds using a SSD and not too many programs, no RAM Disk etc. In Win7 I had a best of 8 secs and after installing new staff, RAMDisk etc I stil have a boot time of 13 secs. I use Boot Race.
  10. M$ support was always terrible, they are like a broken tape, please mark it as solved bla bla, but not solving as you know. fortunately there are people like you who help. my 2 cents... - I don't like the logon screen, there is additional time lost with the preview. I am sure this can be improved. - I don't like the PC settings, there are too few options compared to the control panel. - there are way too many writes to the disk in Windows 10, 10 GB in only 3 hours in my case, not doing anything and opening the same known programs I was using also on the Windows 7, where I have 3 GB / 24 hrs as an average. Defender/AV disabled and same conditions for both operating systems. - many optimizations not functional, but this was already advised by M$. - I like the start menu and customizations, they look very good. I didn't want to install all my programs because I'm waiting for a more stable version. I'll come back in a while and see how you guys are doing. good luck!
  11. disabled and done. thanks again! cheers!
  12. oh, that's great, you did it! i moved the temp folder to the ramdisk, that's why the invalid path... can you please tell me your advice, to move the temp back in C or do some changes and move the lpksetup folder... could it be possible? anyway tomorrow I'll send you a beer.
  13. thanks @magic, here it is: https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resid=59129A73A86611CF!33154&authkey=!ACnL1WNtrN9XTDY&ithint=file%2cdmp
