Hello. I have a laptop which has Windows XP Home OEM license. Yet the version I get from the manufacture is bloated, how can I get a clean installation? Where can I get an OEM Installation? Thanks.

Hello. Thanks for responding. Both partitions were FAT32. I checked that. It did convert D (I don't care about the recovery) while for C it asked to restart the computer and converting it on the startup process. The only problem at the middle the computer gets turned off (It's not a standby, just like there is no electricity). I think it might be a temperature problem (Too much heat).

Hello. I have an Acer Notebook. Yesterday I got into CMD and tried to convert my HD to NTFS. Converting D went smoothly when I tried to convert C I was said it can be done and I would like it to happen the next time I restart my computer. I said "Yes" and restarted it, Windows started the conversion process yet at some point the computer was turned off. I turned it on and it started the same procedure again with the same result (Just after the Disk Check). I tried safe mode, which resulted in the computer turned off again. Now, how can I make it stop trying to convert and just get Windows On? Got Acer Aspire 5100. Windows XP SP2 OEM (The same installation I got when I bought it a year ago). AMD Turion TL50 1.6 GHZ. 2 GB RAM. ATI Radeon Xpress 1100 Chipset. IDE HD. Thanks.

Hello. I have Windows XP Pro + WMP11. For some reason I don't have sound on some videos I play on line. For example, this one: http://www.ynet.co.il/articles/0,7340,L-3430077,00.html It's Hebrew, but you'll be able to notice the play button. That's the direct link to the streaming video: http://players.mediazone.co.il/media/autho...9320_static.asx The properties says it's WMV audio format, which I think WMP 11 supports, yet I hear no sound. I don't have problem with other videos on line (Youtube) or other WMV files I have on my computer. Does anyone have an idea how to fix it? Thanks.

You missed it again. I do have Winrar. Winrar can't extract the setup file, I need something else to extract it (I mean to extract the Setup file, not the compresses fike you download directly from the website). I will check the other program. Thanks.

Thanks.... May be I described it wrong. I have the Setup.exe file (I do have Winrar). I want to decompress the seup.exe file itself. I don't want to run the setup itself. I tried to decompress it with Winrar 3.62 with no success.

I think slipstreaming those drivers will solve the problem. Use nLite.

Let me check if I got it right, the port I defined to be open will actually be opened only when there's a program either "listening" or using the specific port? The problem is when I define the specific port to be open by defining the port number and not the program iself I don't get positive results even if the program is running. Thanks.

Will you try it by yourself, if you open specific port and try the mentioned test you will get a positive result, from some reason I don't... Thanks. I didn't get a positive result, but my ISP stealths the ports, as does my router and my firewall. What's the meaning of stealth? Let's say I wanted to have a mail server and needed to open a certain ports. Now I don;t use them, I'm waiting for someone from outside to connect me (just like the connection test) and he will be blocked... Is that right? Thanks for the patience.

Even if it's open, it may still be stealthed by the firewall, or your ISP. Why do I need it to run? I defined a 6346 port to be open, checked it and it won't work, even if the program is running. Unless I define it to be unblocked... But I don't, I want to open the ports manually. Thanks.
