Not sure why you put those files on a floppy? Anyway, the WINNT.SIF file needs to go into the I386. As for the others, they need to go into the $OEM$ folder with the commands.ext file and add to the commands.txt file. mods.bat, mach.reg, user.reg and winnt.sif

Hi. Anyone know where i can find a guide or info on Editing/Removing/Adding to the TXTSetup and the hive Files? I would like to know that all the numbers mean, see below: As i want to have some small progs installed automaticaly throught these. 3dgarro.cur = 1,,,,,,,,3,3 Also i have tried to remove Accessories from the start menu without any luck, i have removed everything relating to 'Accessories' in the Hive files but it is still there in the Start Menu. I know i can use NLite to do this but i just want to know how it is done manualy. What .Inf file installs the Start Menu Items? I have done a search but i can't seem to find what i am looking for. Hi Sorry if this is on here but i have searched but came up with nothing. I am trying to find a tutorial and infomation on inf files. What i want to do is to Delete shortcuts from the start menu, delete Directories in .Inf files. The info i have found does not seem to work. I will be very thankful for any help. Regards Worf.

Hi. Any one know how to delete directories after windows is installed from a batch file? I have searched but have not found anything Some of the directories i want to delete are from some silent application installs which has left some directories, most of them have '.tmp' at the end so i would like to be able to search for directories like these and then delete them. Hi all I know many people here have created installers using Installshield so i though i would post here in the hope that some can help me with this problem so that i can get on with my unattended. I have been using InstallShield to great .MSI installers to repackage some apps and stuff. One of the installers are for some SideBar Gadgets and i want them to be SystemComponents so that they do not show up in Add/Remove and i am using ARPSYSTEMCOMPONENT=1 in property manager. I use Addon Creater to create my Addons using the /quiet switch but each time they get to be installed on installation a window pops up tell me that i need to use the following switches, one of them /quiet which i have used. Can anyone here be kind enough to give me a solution to this problem please? I have tried Inno setup but i cant seem to grasp it, more so when it come to folders and subfolders. I find Installshield more straight forward. Many Thanks Worf.

Best to use /VERYSILENT /NORESTART

Sure np. First you will need to use Orca (You will have to do a search for this program) load the .MSI into it, on the left hand pain look for 'Property' and click on it, now on the right hand pain look for 'LAUNCHSCAN' it will be set to '1' click on this and change it to '0'. Now all you have to do is to just save it and you are done. Best thing to do is to make it into an Addon that way you will avoid the Validation Check. Hope this help? Regards Worf

Hi. This is the only place i know that might be able to help me with this problem as there are people on here that have created installers. I am trying to create an installer using InstalShield 12 for applications that do not have installers so that i can create addons of them and inergreate then in to my unnatended windows. Now the problem i am having is that when i turn them into addons and intergrated them, they install ok putting shortcuts in to the start menu, install in to the right directory. But when click on the shortcut the install windows comes up and this error: The features you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable. And it is pointing to: Documents and Setting\Default User\7zS711.tmp. I have tried everything and i just can not get the program to just run when the shorcut is clicked on. Please can anyone help me here as i need to get these done so that i can finnish my project. Many Thanks Worf.
