  1. Hi I have been searching on how to create a directory through inf files withou much luck. I want to create the directory below Program Files\Emulators\PS1\ScreenShots On install the directory is asking me for ScreenShots. Many thanks for any help Worf
  2. Well after a lot of messing about, checking and checking the inf file i have finaly got it working. There was a mistake in one of the files which was not getting installed and was preventing the creation of the shortcuts. Thank you to all who as helped me here.
  3. No the start menu group and shortcut is not being created, but will try your method if i can't get it to work.
  4. Hi Yzöwl I removed Games in "Retro Games" as you can see below, but the shortcuts are still not being created. CHRONOSMAIN = "Retro\Chronos" As i said before the inf file 'pagedfrg' creates the shortcut. I am wondering if it the one in bold that is the problem? I will try it out and report back [Chronos.AddShortcut] Name = Chronos CmdLine = 16422,%CHRONOSMAIN%,Chronos.exe SubDir = %CHRONOSMAIN% WorkingDir = 16422,%CHRONOSMAIN% InfoTip = An Old Spectrum Clasic Game

  10. Yes ok, will try it again and let you know the outcome.
  11. Yep that sure is slow, the download time for the advanced inf was over an hour. I did a search on google for it and found it. Also i did what you said and change some of the things and added some missing entries, now it worked, the LClock installed. Going to try and make another inf for y-shadow. Thanks again Rick
  12. Thank you Rick, downloading now although the speed is very slow, only managing 94 bytes/sec download on your Lclock. Also i am a great fan of you work, more so your sidebar add on. Keep up the good work. Regards Worf

  15. This post has nothing to do with my last post, the last post was to do with HKLM,HKCU which has been sorted. What i want to know now and yes i have search but was unable to find what i was looking for, is which hive file creates the Current_User and how do i add the entries i want into that hive file.
  16. Hi. Does anyone know which hive file creates Hkey_current_user and how to manually add an entry to that hive please? What i want to do is to add entries to the part of the registry that runs programs on startup (see below) in hkey_current_user I want to add these directly to the hive files, i have sorted the HKLM part out but just need to add them to the current_user part so that they will run at startup without importing them. [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run] Many Thanks Worf
  17. As i said in my pm to you Yzöwl, the first posts did not show up as being posted not even after ten minutes so i posted it again and not even that one showed up as being posted and i could not even edit my second post to ask for it to be deleted as it would not let me. That is why there were two posts the same.
  18. Thank you Yzöwl. I want to add small programs and icon, ect to my unattended manualy instead of using addons. Will try your tips, just hope this works so that i can get on with adding other things. Once again thanks you, will let you know if they work Worf
  19. Hi I have been trying to add entries to the registry through the hive files and not through using .REG files but some do not seem to be written to the registry on installation. Example: HKCU,"Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run",,0x00000012 HKCU,"Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run","Yod'm 3D",0,"%SYSTEMROOT%\%Y3D%\Yodm3D.exe /HIDE" HKCU,"Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run","Y-Shadow",0,"%SYSTEMROOT%\%YS%\yzshad.exe /HIDE" Some HKLM entries seems to get written to the registry but not the entries above. I would be very grateful for any help here. Many Thanks Worf.
  20. Hi. I have been adding entries to the Hive files so that they get written to the registry on installation instead of use .REG files, now the problem is that they are not getting written to the registry. Here is an example of one of the entries. HKLM,"SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run",,0x00000012 HKLM,"SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run","Yod'm 3D",0,"%SYSTEMROOT%\%Y3D%\Yodm3D.exe /HIDE" I would be very grateful for any help on this. Many Thanks Worf.
  21. Oh great, thank you ricktendo64, now in can get on with it and add more small utillities and apps. Once again thank you.
  22. Hi. I am trying to learn a bit about installing apps via the Dosnet and Txtsetup. At the moment i am having problems getting a file to install to a folder inside a folder. See below: As you can see i have put two extra lines in [WinntDirectories] (248 and 249). The files (Yzshad.exe, Yzshad.ini, Yzshad.dll) all installs into the 'YS' folder but for some reason i get an error saying 'Setup can not copy file English.Lang' (249). I have even renamed it to English.ll and done English.ll = 1,,,,,,,249,0,0,English.lang and still the same. All the file are compressed and in the I386 folder. I would be very grateful for any help to get this file to install. Dosnet [Files] d1,Yzshad.exe d1,YZShad.ini d1,Yzshad.dll d1,English.lang Txtsetup [WinntDirectories] 245 = system32\Macromed\Flash 246 = system32\en-us 247 = l2schemas 248 = YS 249 = YS\Languages [sourceDisksFiles] Yzshad.exe = 1,,,,,,,248,0,0 YZShad.ini = 1,,,,,,,248,0,0 Yzshad.dll = 1,,,,,,,248,0,0 English.lang = 1,,,,,,,249,0,0 Many thanks Worf
  23. Hi I have been trying to remove some items from the startmenu through the .INF and HIVE file, what i want to remove is Accessories. I have removed everthing relating to the Accessories folder i can find in .INF and HIVE Files but i think i am missing some entries. Does anyone know if any entries are stored anywhere else. Many Thanks For Any Help Worf
  24. So i take it that you are not creating your own Unattended cd then? If you want to know about the $OEM$ folder and creating an Unattended cd then go here: http://unattended.msfn.org/unattended.xp/ The I386 folder is on the cd, when you create an Unattended cd then you will need to copy this directory to the harddrive copy your WINNT.SIF file into that directory. When you have finnished creating you Unattended cd and burned it back to cd windows will use the WINNT.SIF file. As for the WINNT.BAT file, never heard of it. Unless someone else on here knows what bossman is doing and can help i guess you will have to wait till he comes back.
