  1. The dotNetFx35setup.exe installer runs the setup.exe file with a /web switch that checks for updates. Extract dotNetFx35setup.exe (using "dotNetFx35setup.exe /x") to the same folder as dotNetFx35setup.exe, and run the setup.exe file instead. Or else check out this site: http://blogs.msdn.com/astebner/archive/200...17/8745415.aspx
  2. Does this use standard settings, like use itunes and quicktime as default player for media files?
  3. After applying the service pack, I copied the setup files (in the root directory) and the \files\setup directory to new directory, and then ran ptksetup.exe with the transform file from there. Then, setup says which files it needs. Just copy all the files and directories setup asks for, and it you have your self a nice little directory containing only the files you need.
  4. I know.. But you shouldn't have to press 'Next'. It has to be completely silent. No user interaction.
  5. I remember testing with and without spaces, and the /S /v/qn - with a space, was the most successfull..
  6. The /S /v/qn is supposed to be a silent install, but it isn't. At least not for me. You still have to click 'Next' on the first initialization dialog. Does anyone know? iTunes 4.7 doesn't generate the setup.iss file using the -R switch either, (4.6 did..) and after installing it, in the log-file, it says 'error 3' or something, which means it cannot find enough info in the setup.iss file. I got the 4.6 version to work, but not 4.7...

  9. iTunes depends on QuickTime, so you have to install it. The best you can do is to not let QuickTime play your movie files.. As far as I've heard..
