There's a way to add some registry tweaks to use "Small Icon" without Office? mrmr
-
sure...it works....but you can have till to 5 "Big Icons" and a default value. From "Place0" to "Place4"... http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...&displaylang=en there you can find lightning DOC! It says that you can use also till to 10 "small icons" too...so use it how you want! mrmr

hallo my unattended/nlited windows is almost at the end, btw i've got still a problem. Says that i change my Administrator accout to another name, says "pippo". Now, i need specific Shortcut only for pippo, different from what there're "$OEM$\$Docs\Default User"...so, i've added to my "$OEM$\$Docs" the "pippo" directory and i've added there my Shortcuts. It doesn't work...at the end of installation i've a new homedir for pippo: So, i've tried to add an "Administrator" dir to "$OEM$\$Docs"...infact, my pippo user, really, was predefined Administrator, but now i've: So, someone know a turnaround? thank you mrmr

Before that i think... mmm ok...seem that i've menaged this by myself...while writing... Let me know if its wrong, ok? mrmr

hello Someone have some useful script for configure SP2 firewall? I'm using this firewall.cmd: cmdow @ /HID @Echo Off netsh firewall reset netsh firewall set notifications enable netsh firewall del allowedprogram %windir%\system32\sessmgr.exe ALL netsh firewall set service type=fileandprint mode=enable scope=subnet profile=standard netsh firewall set service type=remotedesktop mode=disable profile=standard netsh firewall set service type=upnp mode=disable profile=standard netsh firewall set icmpsetting 3 enable netsh firewall set icmpsetting 8 enable netsh firewall set icmpsetting 11 enable netsh firewall set logging %windir%\pfirewall.log netsh firewall set logging filemaxsize 32767 netsh firewall set logging droppedpackets=enable netsh firewall set logging connections=enable btw, something is missing... For example i can't close port for "remoteadmin". I've tried this: netsh firewall set service type=remoteadmin mode=disable profile=standard but in Firewall GUI the exception remain, so, i've delete the exception completly. Another problem is for "icmpsetting". These rules work only on AdvancedTab->ICMP, but i've not menaged how to add rules only in "Network Connection Setting"->"Locall Area Connection"->"Settings..."->"ICMP Tab". Maybe, i've not catched the difference between the two. Note that i'm using "Standard Profile", and not "Domain Profile" Maybe there's the possibility to tweaks this using registry key...I think that should be the right way... Every comment will be useful. Thank you mrmr

Hallo There's a way to pass some option to this winzip Self-extractor? In This way I could install Daisy directly during installation in a specified folder, like %ProgramFiles%, and then create some links on my desktop/quick_launch/Start Menu. thank you mrmr EDIT: ...so...no more problem here...menaged to extract it with unzip.exe copied over system32.

@drthawhizkid Do you think that I can get an unattended installation with the Official installer? And if I can't, there's a workaround to that? mrmr

mrmr replied to mrmr's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
Yeah...you have understand...the last question!!! I've already try that....but in that way i get million errors...like no Start MEnu or Desktop dirs in homedir of users...so i've decide to use default (Documents and Settings)...in this way noerrors at all... btw the worst problem is the "User Accounts" window...all the rest work well! mrmr -
Hallo Don't know if this problem is related to Unattended Windows or nLite, btw after nLited an XP sources slipstreamed to SP2 with some 3rd part software installed with RunOnceEX.cmd and issued an Autologon to a newly created user, the "Users Account" windows doesn't open anymore... There's to note that i've deleted default Administrator Account. Someone with the same problem can enlight me? thank you mrmr P.S. I've used a lot of regtweaks also... P.P.S another question...it's possible to change "Documents and Setting" with, for examples, "Profiles"?

User Accounts and Auto Login questions
mrmr replied to Sanjay's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
I'm interested too in this thread...i don't understand the part of AdminAutoLogin... So, could be useful for me to erase Administrator account and make one of the unattended created users, with admin rights...another thing: how to change \Documents & Settings\ to another dir? In my last try, i've switched to \Profiles, but then, my Administrator user (the only with a valid passwd) doensn't have neither Start Menu or Desktop... mrmr -
so, for the right click unmount should this be right inf file? ...and, the only use for DaemonScript.msi is to decide the number of Virtual Drive? cannot be integrated in only deamontools.msi? There a way to add shell extension from RunOnceEx.cmd? mrmr P.S. There a greater list of "Image Type" that can be mounted? ...like .ngr and so on?
