Start / Control Panel / System / Advanced / Environment Variables Remove the entry "C:\Temp"

If he is really from the future he should know how this is going to turn out. He should know if he will be exonerated or die in prison and if that's the case will that affect his future "future". If he dies in prison in this time will he know about it when his real time comes and why didn't he avoid it? He probably knows who really killed JFK. This guy is in deep doo-doo even if he is released. w00t

Click on Start/Control Panel/Network Connections/Local Area Connection. Right click then choose "Properties". Choose Internet connection (TCP/IP). Click on "Properties", "Use the following IP address" then put you local IP in this box along with the subnet mask. For example: 192.168.0.1 / 255.255.255.0 then put in your default gateway if it's not already there. In the next area put your DNS numbers if you know them. Now click on "Advanced", then the WINS tab. Select "disable NetBIOS over TCP. Now click on OK all the way out and accept changes. If you are not familiar with or do not know what the previous DNS and/or IP numbers are then perhaps you should call your ISP tech support (sic) and ask them to walk you through it. SunnyB

Why isn't system restore available in W2K3. It's an important service even on a server machine. It shows but it's greyed out in msconfig.exe. I sure miss it when installing new apps or services. Any news about this? Thanks

It says something about not passing the Windows Logo Testing to verify compatability with this version of Windows. It then says "This software will not be installed. Contact your system administrator". Even when I'm logged in as administrator. Where is the Group policy editor can this restriction be disabled? Thanks

I downloaded 3dMark but I only have directx 8.1 Win 2003 server won't let me load directx 9 even thru a web setup. Anybody got an idea how to overcome this? Thanks

w00t I have blocked so many individual sites over the years that I have now begun to block email based on regional netspace. This will differ with your specific area because spammers tend to spam out of their specific netspace. As if the don't want to dirty the water they swim in. Earthlink spammers don't usually spam Earthlink addresses, etc. etc. Personally I block all of 200.x.x.x, 201.x.x.x, 202.x.x.x, 203.x.x.x, 210.x.x.x, 211.x.x.x plus many ranges in other netblocks that prove to be spam friendly. It's not perfect but it kills 80% of my spam.
