  1. We all have people in our lives who sometimes upset us greatly. In my case, it's my Italian fiend friend, jaclaz. I wish he could be more like his pet aardvark, Mussolini, who is always in a very pleasant mood, especially when I feed him a can of Alpo. Perhaps I should feed jaclaz a can of Alpo every now and then. The thought of that makes me smile. But I digress. I know you all are shocked, because that's the first time you have witnessed that. To stumble continue onward: I made a little flag apropos to those [in our lives who sometimes upset us greatly.] Note: So that you can understand your feeling of deja vu, I bracketed the phrase from my first paragraph that is causing that feeling in you, if, indeed, you have any feelings. But I highly doubt that since this is a web site for computer geeks. To stumble continue onward, in a deja vu again kind of mindset: I made a little flag apropos to those [in our lives who sometimes upset us greatly]: I based it on the U.S. flag. It has 7 red stripes and the "star field" terminates at the bottom of the 4th red stripe, just like in the U.S. flag. But I made the colors a little disgusting. Why? Because I felt like it! Case closed on that! If you have any criticisms relating to the fact that the star field doesn't have 50 emoticons or that the aspect ratio doesn't match that of the U.S. flag, please keep those criticisms to yourself, because I absolutely don't care about anything you might have to say. I have made this statement to you many times before, as you well know. Just leave me alone to suffer, in torment, along with my fiend, bphlpt, living in a fantasy in my own little nasty world. Thanks in advance. 2. This post is a follow-up to my last post concerning my Italian fiend friend, jaclaz, who likes animated GIFs. I made this simple 10-frame animation from the one in my last post. On the right side, I simply horizontally flipped the frames of the emoticon on the left side. In the middle I used an image of an explosion that I found online and modified. And I made the explosion image visible just in every other frame to make it appear more like it was an actual explosion. My idea was to give a little visual interpretation to the concept of two people having difficulty communicating, as if they lived in two parallel universes. Hence the reversed "Yes!", reading "!seY". As for the text in the middle, I have absolutely no idea what it means. Pee Wee Herman, Howdy Doody, and Mickey Mouse thought it up in a joint confab, and since I always follow all of their directions, I added it, without questioning their wisdumb. Finis
  3. From way back in 1979, before computers were mainstream, an amazing live performance by DEVO. I just stumbled across this video and it blew me away. I was a big fan then and, again, now, big time! Gonna be playing a lot of DEVO now. I think even Tripredacus would like this. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zqSta1K6B24
  4. @jaclaz; In my earlier post at http://www.msfn.org/board/topic/152748-custom-avatars-and-signatures/?p=1092023, I stated, in my description of how I loathe love your sh*tty witty commentary: When it comes to humidor, I am your student, always saying, " Yes, my Italian master, I truly dig what you be sayin' " !!! A pictorial representation of my dislike and total disgust gratitude for our unfortunate and miserable wonderful relationship is given below: Finis P.S. LOL........Oops, spelled it backwards!........2nd try: LOL........I got it right that time!........and that makes me very happy! Final Terminating Finis
  5. bptzxbpt, you've finally goaded me into providing a picture of myself, so that your extreme curiosity in this area will be satiated. If you don't know what that word means, either look it up yourself or remain clueless. I don't have time to educate you. After all, I made your avatar and the present version of your signature. Ain't that enough of my valuable time for you to waste? The reason I haven't posted the true photo of myself is that you'd see it and indubitibly realize that I'm much better looking than you. I know there's no doubt about that. I know that you think you look like Adonis and you pay your wife exorbitant sums of money each month to call you that and to stroke your humongous ego. But it's now time to face Reality, and know the truth that you ain't as handsome as I am. My picture below proves that. So, grow up, bptzxbpt, and quit living in a fantasy in your own little nasty world. finis If you don't know what finis means, see my elucidation at the end of my last post. final finis If you think the above line is repetitively redundant in its repetitivity and redundancy, then you are [fill in your own word here, 'cause I ain't got time for this nonsense]. final terminating finis
  6. I made this graphic to honor my friend ROTS [proof: http://www.msfn.org/board/user/362362-rots/, and it seems that I'm his only friend, BTW, and why?, I have no idea.] whom I admire for his linguistic poetry describing his viewpoints and his courage to forge ahead in his expositories in the midst of all that ......................... love he often gets from other MSFN members. For the background on this graphic, I chose a tsunami. Why? It just seemed appropriate for some reason, and I chose not to delve too deeply into the possible implications. http://postimage.org/'> That's in Japanese, BTW. Translated into English, it reads: Lots, Lots, Lotsa Luck !!! finis, which is poetry-speak for: "Let's wrap this sh*t up, and get the hell outta Dodge!"
  7. Shame, shame ,shame on you, bptzxbpt! Can't you follow directions? What part of "keep your opinions to yourself, because I don't have the slightest interest in them" did you not understand? I think you're just inciting me to show more of my ignorance brilliance stupidity nonsense incomprehension nastiness unawareness inexperience nastiness uneducatedness mindless unconversantness Lochness witless unschooledness nastiness unculturedness nessnessnessnessnessness.....[fill in your own term here, 'cause I ain't got time for this nonsense]. But I ain't gonna fall for your evil scheme, so I'm not gonna make this post. If anything is appearing before your eyes now, it's because you are living in a fantasy in your own little nasty world! Cheerios and Retards finis
  8. In my avatar, I've been hiding behind the white mask of anonymity, where no one can see me as I truly am, in the way that I look in person, living in a fantasy in my own little nasty world. So, for the first time ever, I'm going to strip away that mask to show the world how I actually look, naked and afraid to ever fantasize, always having an extremely objective grip on Reality. Here's larryb123456 unmasked: As usual, please keep your opinions to yourself, because I don't have the slightest interest in them, and just go on about your business, as long as it isn't funny business, because then you'd be encroaching on my territory. finis
  9. In my music video post at http://www.msfn.org/board/topic/5150-what-are-you-listening-to/?p=1081259 I presented the song, "Nasty Girl", by Vanity 6, in which the primary lyric is: "I'm living in a fantasy in my own little nasty world." Since I tend to follow my whims -- (which I'm sure comes as a surprise to everyone who has read my nonsense brilliant posts) -- I followed the whim to incorporate the graphic I made in the last post with my MSFN avatar, and I title it: "I'm living in a finisy in my own little nasty world." An alternate title is: "I'm living in a finisea in my own little nasty world.", because my avatar kinda looks like it is in a sea of finis. Just choose the title you like best. But please don't tell me, 'cause I absolutely don't care about, and don't choose to know, anything you might have on your mind. Just choose the title you like best, if you want to, of course, but keep it to yourself, and just go on about your business. And leave me alone, in torment, to suffer in a fantasy/finisy/finisea in my own little nasty world. Thanks in advance. finis

  12. Hi, jaclaz: The Fun Police will get you for sure for that one, for inciting a riot!....a laugh riot! As far as your sharp sense of humidor....[or should that be humor (?)]....no one can hold a candle to you. Good thing, 'cause I surely don't want you to get burned! I'm gonna post your picture here in full view, so that I can refer back to it later instead of having to navigate your spoiler minefield. I'm always a little apprehensive -- (he's the son of his father, BIG APPREHENSIVE, by the way) -- when I open them, because I'm afraid you might show me something that I might not want to see, like Howdy Doody and Pee Wee Herman naked on Broadway during rush hour on a stormy day, in the midst of lightning flashes there, striking the top of the Eiffel Tower, before it was moved to Mississippi to replace the Leaning Tower of Pisa, which fell over laughing at one of your earlier jokes. I tried to follow the logic, but I've only gotten as far as the first word, "Do", in the upper left of the graphic. It will take me some time to fully understand the full quantum-mechanical, metaphysical, multiversal, fractal, string-theory-analytical, multi-dimensional lessons in that word. In a few months of pondering "Do", I'll be able to move my attention to the second word, "you". And I shall continue on this quest for the complete knowledge that this graphic presents. But I'm going to amend it, so that, at the bottom it will have feedback loops/arrows taking me back to the very beginning. I feel comfortable in doing this, because, ultimately I'll be getting nowhere in this exercise, a sentiment which very well characterizes all the other endeavors in my life. Thank you so much, jaclaz for providing me my life's work with your graphic. How may I repay you? Perhaps by feeding your pet Italian aardvark, Mussolini, a can of Alpo? I'm so glad you named him Mussolini instead of Benito, because I truly love the way my tongue tickles the roof of my mouth when I say, "Mussolini". Try it, and you'll see what I mean. When it comes to humidor, I am your student, always saying, " Yes, my Italian master, I truly dig what you be sayin' " !!! Finis
  13. My last post on this thread was well over a month ago. Most of my time since then has been spent looking at a picture of the Higgs boson that I found online. Afer some serious concentratin' and thinkin', I wrote the text on this picture: Finis

  15. jaclaz, you are a total laugh riot! Better run and hide. I hear the sirens and the Fun Police are gonna getcha! You've been gettin' away with funny business for too long, and now, you're gonna hafta pay the piper!
  16. @Kel: Hi there! Long time, no see! I like bi, too, as in binaural beats for enhanced creativity, and as in binary, because I can handle 2 numbers OK, 0 and 1. When I'm faced with more than 2 numbers, I turn the calculations over to ROTS, who always seems to come up with a surprising answer And he's never been stumped, since, to his great credit, he seems to have an answer for EVERYTHING
  17. Hi, bphlpt! Long time, no see! Well, poets, deep thinkin' guys, and mystics, such as you, me, and ROTS need all the encouragement we three mouseketeers musketeers can get! Well, I'm in the middle, ROTS is on the right, so that must be you on the left, bphlpt! Nice tan! Been gettin' a lot of sun?
  18. @ROTS: Re: Getting high on life became illegal back in 2004 when my home became the imaginary USSR of the early 1990's. Beautifully stated poetry! Ain't got a clue what it means objectively, but subjectively, it takes me far, far away to another, more blissful, contemplative, puzzling, magical, wondrous, groovy, fantastical, marvelous, magical...oops, already said that...fantasmagorical reality! Keep 'em coming, dude! Big fan! I try to read as many as I can! Larry
  19. I had fun making this userbar, because I had to do a little more creative work than usual, and I used an effect I haven't used before, a flashing background: The flashing-background effect is simple, but effective, IMO. It's achieved by simply alternating two different backgrounds in the flashing part of the frame sequence in the animation. I got the 6-frame animated-GIF European Union flag online: Added in Edit: For some reason the flag doesn't move when posted by itself. I hosted it on two different sites with the same static result. But you can see it waving in the flag/ball animation below. Added in Edit the next day: I checked out the post before I logged on, and the flag was waving. As soon as I logged on, the flag stopped waving. I guess (?) I just have mysteriously magical telekinetic powers. (So, better be nice to me! -- lol) Then I got a football (soccer ball) transparent PNG online: I converted its image to a six-frame animation by simply rotating the ball 60 degrees clockwise five times successively. The original ball plus the five rotations made 6 frames. Then I reduced the size of the ball and pasted each frame on the corresponding frame in the animated EU flag, positioning the ball in the middle of the circle of stars, to get the image I scrolled in the animation: I was glad the soccer ball had shadows on it, because as the ball rotated, the rotating shadows tied in nicely with the shadows in the waving flag. That made it appear more like the ball was actually a part of the flag, or that it was being tossed around by the waving flag. Here are some more userbars I made using the flashing background effect:
  20. A song by my latest favorite group, The Green Children: "Outline"
  21. Yes, I now see it to the left of the center guy. I had to enlarge the downloaded image -- (actually a screen capture, because my PS CS5 couldn't open the jpeg) -- to see it clearly. It's also to the left of the drummer on the right. But it worked out great, because you can still make out the scripted elements well. This light colored "fog" adds to the image, IMO, by making the image more 3 dimensional. Also, it didn't obliterate the sun's rays. If you had removed the background first, the scripted elements would have been on a 2-dimensional plane, giving a flatter feel to the image. I bet you were a little surprised that the scripted-element layer worked out that well, even though you had the skill to tweak it to get what you wanted.
  22. Thanks for taking time to respond, Trip. I watched the video. Thanks for that link. I've noticed in the past that you've gotten images from videos. That's a good approach, because you can come up with more exactly what you want, instead of relying on a Google image search, which is what I do too much of the time. I'll keep the video-stills approach more in mind now. Thanks. I like the fact that the guy in the middle has no head. To me, it focuses more on his hands behind the "Tripredacus", which compositionally connects with the two drummers to form a unified whole for the signature. Great layout. On my monitor, the sky background is a purplish gray and the scripted elements are a light lime green color. I like that warm/cool color combination. You did a great job colorizing. I see the scripted elements in the video around 0:37 (and also before and after that time). Was it difficult to remove the background around these elements? What was your approach in removing the background? The glows on the Symbol and Xenotron fonts really work well to make each clearly visible against the background, with more emphasis on the Xenotron, of course. Thanks for sharing. Larry
  23. WOW, Trip, that's fantastic! IMO, that's your best one yet. Are the letters behind your name just random characters? I see some Greek letters there, as well as English. The image is very mysterious and evocative. It would be great if you showed the individual layers from top to bottom, along with a little discussion, if you wanted to, of course.
  24. Much to my chagrin, I discovered that I made a mistake in my last post. Instead of "Mickey Mouse", I presented Iron Butterfly's "In A Gadda Da Vida". How embarrassing! Being a super perfectionist, I'm determined to correct my mistake. So, here's Iron Butterfly's "In A Gadda Da Vida":
