  1. These images have been around a while crispy. but these are good examples.

Dont you think the cooling system is pretty clever? or is it just me

the cooler has been compared to a delta fan in the noise levels department by a few people that have seen beta cards running.

it also suggests the card gets pretty **** hot.

hopefully nvidia will have sorted any noise issues b4 the cards retail.

you might all want to look at this thread REAL Geforce FX benchies! dont know if there real or not

  2. nothing wrong with beeing sat infront of the pc playing games for hours on end.

when i lived with my parents i often sat playing games for 2 days straight at weekends without sleep only moving from the pc to grab a pot noodle, coffee or when i needed the toilet and no harm has came to me.

btw i aint left the house in 2months :)

  3. i might buy one but im not certain yet bet they will be alot more than £250 until around march though.

if i do decide to buy one i will wait for the ultra version of it i dont wanna buy a gf fx to find out there doing a higher clocked version with a better memory controller a few weeks later.

  5. ramdac are to do with TV out

Short for Random Access Memory Digital-to-Analog Converter, a single chip on video adapter cards. The RAMDAC's role is to convert digitally encoded images into analog signals that can be displayed by a monitor. A RAMDAC actually consists of four different components - SRAM to store the color map and three digital-to-analog converters (DACs), one for each of the monitor's red, green, and blue electron guns.

i would assume the 64mb uses faster ns ram? but the 128mb card should be faster in programs that use lots of hi res textures, at higher resolution or with FSAA should give better performance

  6. Would you give them your credit card information?
